Debenhams often have some fantastic offers on running gear. Never actually bought trainers from the site but I've had a dare2b windshell from them before for about a tenner and it's the best bit of running kit I've ever bought

Electrical knowledge anyone?

Im an electrician and DF3 has pretty much summed it up. If it has a heating element in it the likelihood is that the element has burnt out and the lack of resistance is causing the breaker to trip.

Get the warranty out.

Dishwashers are notoriously difficult to fix as the parts are difficult to gain access to without the right tools. Manufacturers often fit screws with unorthodox heads on them so you have to have one of their "engineers" out to be repaired. Sneaky sods.

N.B They've never been engineers in their life, it's just that hotpoint or zanussi or whoever made the machine call them engineers so as to justify the massive cost of getting someone out to repair the machine.

Not something you'd expect to find in the homes of an old pit town but we're sooooooooo 2013 thesedays.

My Last Run

Posted: 28/04/2013 at 11:59

6.8 miles this morning. The furthest I've run in a long time thanks to a terrible winter and hectic work schedule. Felt comfortable and gave me the belief that l ought to be able to get a HM in this summer/autumn which is what I've been aiming for all along.

Think i'll enter a 10k in the next month or so to keep me interested then look for a half around August/September time.

They are sensoring a notion which is worse, the song itself is totally harmless and older than all of us. Still it's to be expected really.

Anyway I think the message is still very clear

l saw a comment on the guardians website from some fella saying that if the beeb still want their licence fee to be paid by the general public then they ought to adhere to what it is the public are asking for (in this case for a song to be played)

Otherwise they ought to ask the tory party and it's donors to make up their budget.

l might refuse to pay mine on the above basis and see what they say to that.

Just to bring it back round to topic. Regardless of what your opinions of Thatcher, the song which anti Thatcherites have managed to get into the charts which will not now be played in full that's an abhorrent decision.

This is supposed to be a democracy and if people are able to censor certain peoples views, rightly or wrongly, so long as there are no laws broken then those views should be allowed to be aired.

Are squirrels classed as rodents?

If so just let nature take it's course. Rodents are attracted the electro motive force that is naturally omitted from live electrical cables..........once it gets it's nashers round that, once you've reset the electrics and got an electrician to renew the cable to your sockets or lighting you can dump the thing in the bin.

Ha. l have often wondered what the hell was going off there. They do say silly old bats roost like that after all, guess now we know it's true :P

Crikey. I think we've finally found someone you're funnier than, DF3. Bet you can run faster than him, too.

I've no idea who that's aimed at. Me or David. So until you clear that up l don't know whether to be offended or not.

Please clear up the confusion so l can think of a suitable retort or smile happily inside that your having a dig at someone else

Is it common for your gait to change as you become more experienced?
