Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by Muller. Strongly suspect a lot of the "funds" allocated for the race found there way to Tory Party HQ prior to May last year! Big Society in action.

I can't do it this year but wish Tim and the team every success because it is one of if not the best race in the country.

The forecast for Monday isn't good

I think the sensible decision needs to be taken and call it off.

I live in South Staffs and the backroads are lethal.

I can't believe the mentality of some folk.  Whinging about not getting a medal, when you have had a technical T-Shirt (About £15 for one on Wiggle) ,a backpack with stuff in it, and a dozen free youghuts for £10!

I did the Shakespeare, 2 weeks previously for a small medal, a banana and a bottle of water, which cost £25.  Plus I had to pay £6 to park..  That was something to moan about.

Medal or not, for me this is the best value event in the country.

Only minor grumble is that you could do with doing the course in reverse if there are 1250 next year.  A wider start is a must.

Hill at 8.5 isn't a long one, but is quite steep,  Goes on the long side of a left to right bend.

There are some wonderful hills on this (I live on the course, wel actually a house on the course!)

First 5 miles is fairly flat, short incline about 3.5 but nothing too serious.  Short uphill at 5, then a steady climb.  Hill about 7.5 (by Hollybush), then the killer about 8.5, it's nasty.

Ran on the route thismorning and no ice to speak of but plenty of frost.

BTW - Forecast for next Sunday.  No wind.  Dry.  Temp -2 !!!!

People on races I-Pod etc, should be cut off at the knees and boiled in oil!!!

They have no regard for others and are a bloody menace.

I would welcome a ban on all I-Plods and MP3 at all races.
