When a patient with alzheimers dies it's normally from some form of illness or codition... it is a progressive disease - but the most common cause of death for Alzheimers sufferers is pneumonia.  Or in the case of my father in law the head injury he received in his new *care* home when he was neglected and fell out of his chair and lay in a coma in hospital for a month.

I wonder what he actually died of...he was only in his 60s (it really annoys me people saying he died of Alzheimers!!)  It's really sad...I found him in his documentaries to be so insightful and funny...not afraid to talk of his disease, but not afraid to show his fear of his future.

Morning all - love the pug duvet lol.

Up bright and early we bought this treadmill and I've hardly used it because I'm too busy in the evenings (we're working late most evening busy in the clinic we've had to add in late evenings and a half day on Saturday) so basically by the time we get home and I've got the dinner cooked I cba to I've bit the bullet and started to get up 45 mins early to get my *run* in...(when I say run...I'm basically starting from scratch and doing the C210K so it's a walk run to get me going)

I'm really happy that I've started...and there is no smugger feeling than getting your training done early lol...long may it last

Just sent off a parcel for LMF - I priced it in the local post office and they were going to charge me £48!!! and it would take up to 40 days to get there!!  So I drove 2 miles to the local Donegal post office...£14 delivery and it'll take a week to 10 days!!  Mental!!

We had about 8 - 10 inches of snow!!  It fell overnight, causing traffic chaos....and then melted like billyo causing more made my boots all squishy

Sun is shining today!  And it's expected to go quite warm for the weekend...thus ends the weather report

LMF has sent me a snapchat of a spider they caught in their house - it was sat on an apple was as big as the apple core!  I'm afraid I would have had to burn the house down.

Hope your back (hip flexor etc) are much better today TH.

We have an empty nest at the minute...LMF off in Oz and BGD is in Leeds for the (long) weekend (he's got a gig and they're recording in the studio too) - so it's me, MrGFB and Murray rattling round the big house on our own...a sign of things to come?

Seriously thinking of downsizing...we're going to try and look into that this year...even if BGD doesn't move out for a while, LMF is going to be in Oz for 3 years (...that's if she comes back) and we have a 4 bedroom house....and a big garden to maintain.  We think we might just look for a smaller place to rent...dunno - just thinking *out loud*

That's great coverage Bookie

We are the noisy neighbours in our street....but we're not as bad as we used to be

We bought a second hand treadmill which we're dead excited about...we tried Murray on it too ( do don't you!) and she coped really well too lol (just for a little minute)

It's dead cold here...when is Spring??
