Have you ever been last in an event?

Posted: 04/09/2013 at 20:38

I was last in a ten miler near Wolverhampton in the mid 90s.

1 hour 39 minutes something. Those were the days.

DNFing is fine. Far better than making a problem worse.

Did something happen Meldy? I know that you were updating there until earlier this year.

It seemed like the right place for me...

I must confess I spend most of my time on Fetch these days.

Rutland Water or Spires and Steeples

Isn't Rutland Water a new one? I know the terrain, should be scenic and no more than undulating. No idea about Spires and Steeples.

I have (exercise induced) asthma. Surprised rain makes it worse though - usually a bit of humidity helps me.

Evening. Hope all are well.

I've not missed a day since 11 December.

Addiction to running

No, because you'll end up burned out or injured. Stick to a steady, manageable schedule tailored to your own abilities and training objectives.

Good to see you back JJ, sorry about the lurgy. Seems like you've had some sound advice and are even possibly taking it.

Somewhat under the weather myself, just an annoying virus, but am hoping to at least amble round the St. Neots half on Sunday.

Ah, now I understand the doodle. I'll keep schtum though, JJ is a dangerous man.

Fenland 10 completed today in about 93.35. Not as fast as I'd hoped but as good as it was going to get given the hideous wind between miles six and nine. Come to think of it mile ten wasn't a lot better.

Good event, give it a go if you ever get the chance.
