My Last Run

Did the Bupa 5K in Gateshead yesterday, My first Race other than park runs my previouse pb was 26:10 but was hoping for sub 25 mins but woulds have been happy with anything under 26 mins. 
Set off and hit the first k at 5 mins so just tried to keep going at that pace. Coming back in the run toi the bridge and over the river seamed to go on forever after the 4 k mark. When I got onto the final straight... people started cheering as a guy tried to over take me, so i kicked and pulled away then a cheer again so ended up sprinting the last 150m which was really good and ended up beeting the guy by 1 second. 
Ended up with 24:44 which to most of you guys can probably beat easily but dead chuffed with it.

After doing the 5k race at newcastle yesterday I'm wanting a place in next years GNR.... looks awesome

Ok so i have been humming and arring about getting a gps watch. 
Looked at the fr10 which has current pace and a virtual pacer but from what i read its only tels you if you are a head or behind current pace. so if i set it to 6 mins a k if i ran the first k in 3 mins then slowed down and did the second k in 7 mins it would say i was behind.
Where as the 310 shows it more in a current race situation so how far ahead or behind you are altogether?

Does anyone find this usefull? Im new to running and just use my phone and runkeeper to tell me stuff every 3 mins. but I think having something on my arm where I can set a target pace like the 310 would help. but would love your advice

Can i ask. The FR10.... current pace is that my current pace ie for the last 5 seconds say or is it over a mile.

Basically I want something to help me run at 5:10 / k

im after something Thant I can see my current pace and would like a heart rate monitor. Been looking at fr 10 fr 210 andfr610 I don't mind spending more money but if this does the job

i have not been running long but do about 15-20k a week.

did a park run on Saturday in a PB of 28 mins then yesterday weour out slowly to try to find a nice pace to do a 10k in which was 6:35 per k. I found this a nice comfortable pace, not to of breath or strenuous. After 6 k I had to stop at some traffic lights went to set off and had a pain, which I thought was a groin strain but not sure it is, it's not on my thigh its level where the leg joins the body but on my body not leg, sort of a bit up from my man area but on my left hand side. I stopped and iced it when I got in feels ok  today,  any ideas what it is and how long to rest it?

I had some analysis done a few years ago and ended up with some brooks radius 7... but i cant remember what the guy said my runnis style was I think it was neutral would that be correct for them trainers?

I havent run much in them and just started seroiusly in the past month so would i have changed with having 2 years off?

I am taking my wife to get some today to sweatshop shes going to start the c25K program so going to get her sorted. Do you think they would mind if i just asked tehm to check me out again ?

4 weeks to 10k

Got the running bug a few weeks ago started with the c25k program but got board after the fittest few times swe just went out running after 2 weeks or proper running I did 5k today in 29:17 The furthest I have run was last weeks which was 7.5 k in the heat and did it in 51 mins.

there is a 10k run in my local town in 4 weekimams I'm tempted to enter. 

Should I just keep going out jogging 3 times a week doing between 5k and building up or would a training plan like http://running.about.com/od/10kracetrainingschedules/a/4-Week-Beginner-10k-Training-Schedule.htm be better?

What do you use now bionic ironwolf I'm allergic to cows milk if I have more than a dash in create or coffee. Gives me really bad migrane... I have almond milk is that any good?
