Has anyone else had or got CFS?

Posted: 07/10/2013 at 18:48

sb67 may I ask how the course on Mindfulness went?

I had started mountain biking again and changed my job to three days a week and things seemed to have been improving greatly but then about a month ago I started to feel really poorly again and now I'm almost back to square one,(feeling as if I've had flu and over the worse but still quite poorly).

My husband is running and I'm trying to be supportive but I went to watch him run in Sheffield a couple of weeks ago and couldn't stop myself from crying.....I felt pathetic and he felt really bad.

I've also started belching constantly which is a great pleasure for me and everyone around...Had three different lots of tablets and now a hospital appointment in 2 weeks time.

Really hoping that someone comes on here and says that they have got better.

Sorry for the complaining

Peter - We've just been on holiday and I was ill for the first three days but after that I was snorkling and walking and although I felt bloody awful at times it was nothing like how I am at home with stress of work etc

If I could do what Michael Crawford did http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1362592/Michael-Crawford-reveals-personal-reason-s-stage.html#ixzz1FiLcNh4B  would.

I do think that stress has a huge part to play within me/cfs, whether it's physical stress or mental.

I also don't fancy CBT - I don't want to learn to cope with the symptoms, I want to get better! How often have I said that!

If you go to many forums lots of people with CFS/ME have tried all sorts of therapies, suppliments etc but as no-one has exactly the same symptoms no-one can conclude to anything that really would help everyone with this crappy illness.  Pacing is the thing that seems to be pushed but in real life not everyone can do pacing effectively.

http://www.sheffieldmegroup.co.uk/ this is really good for most questions/answers.

I cannot drink alcohol or drink coffee, it makes me so much worse that it's just not worth it.

Hi, Diagnosed after 18 months with CFS/ME. Still not able to run, I can mtb small distances and am only able to work part time.

May I ask how did yours start?

I have heard many recovery stories so fingers crossed for us both!!

post-viral fatigue

I would say that it is not PVF as this affects regular days not just during/after exercise, but I'm no expert other than my own personal experience.

If you have a read of some of the forums on this site http://www.postviralfatigue.me.uk/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=987 you will see how it affects the person.

I hope you find out what the problem is and wish you a speedy recovery.

Best Wishes.

Do you only have problems when you are running?

Running cures a cold?

I continued exercising with a virus and have ended up with post viral fatigue and haven't run since March. Rest. It really isn't worth risking it.

Do you think this is really going to work?

It reminds me of the plastic things that people used to hang from the back of the car. What it does not what it looks like.

Which Chain lube?

Posted: 03/07/2011 at 09:22

Wet lube for wet rides, it's oily and stops the water. If you use this on dry rides the dusts sticks to the oil on your chain and wears it away.

Dry lube for dy rides. It's dry and stops the dust getting in and wearing the chain away.
