Wow, this thread is buzzing.

Quick tidy up of the house here this morning, sort out car insurance then off for a run.  It is possible to train for a marathon in 2 weeks, yes?

Lots of talk of healthy eating, it is so obvious and yet the hardest thing to maintain.  At the moment I am balanced.  So stuffing, no starving.  All is good in the world.

Thinking I should set a goal for London.  Jonnie you are quick.  I would be wrapped with anything less than 4.55!

Hi apps, as SL said so lovely to see you post. Huge congrats on the park run and the stopping drinking since July.  Don't be a stranger, keep in touch either here or FB.

As SL is saying, not content with being rubbish over short distances, we are looking to extend our complete lack of ability to 50 miles next year.

As for me I picked up a drink after over 5 years sobriety.  Lost the plot completely for a while, but am somewhere in the ballpark of normal again!

Oh, and I got into London through the ballot which made me stupidly happy.

Lol - Runner Jonnie, loving the 'genetics' not in her favour!

Sinbad - I am in France skiing at the moment.  Used to get arsed on these holidays.  Now I don't, and I watch others lugging their beer and wine into their apartments and don't feel any envy.  Nothing changes unless you want it to change.  If you don't want a boozy time, then don't drink, it is simple. x

Happy, wonderful, dark and rainy Monday to all.  It's the school holidays.

The sleeper train for Lodon to Scotland

Posted: 29/03/2014 at 21:33

I did the London to Inverness in a cabin, and whilst it was at times like sleeping on a roller coaster, I loved it.

Had the best weekend in Scotland too, ran the marathon and then got the evening sleeper back to London.  Went straight from the train station to work.

Pay the extra and get horizontal.

What's the worst physical pain you've ever endured?

Giving birth in the front seat of a volvo, with just my husband, who asked if he really had to pull over.

Yes please I probably replied (or words to that effect).

Anyone want my brighton marathon place and/or hotel room?

Lol - I have a place M...eldy.  Just asking about the room.
