CL4,

Fingers crossed.  That sounds similar to my hip problem when it surfaces.  It does respond well to stretching.

Tek,

No lasting effects from the car journey.  We had a really good journey up.

OH & Kaz,

Thought of you guys when I heard about the power cut up there.

Tek,

Thanks.  It seems fine at the mo however I've got a car journey of about 2-2.5 hrs in Chris' car tomorrow.

Well done guys.

Well done guys.

Tek,

Because he's moving okay now he doesn't want to go out for a walk or swim.

Can you take me off 14/9/14 as I've found out the club championship is going to be done in October.  I'll let you know the date when I know it and there's an addition in June (1st) for the Purbrook Ladies 5.

Stewart & Mathschick,

Hook 2.5 mile race in May.

---------

1.31 miles done with a slight twinge in my hip afterwards.  Ave pace 11:20 which felt very comfy and it was really good to be able to run at my own pace.

NP,

That's good news.  Hope you enjoy your holiday.

Mathschick,

Aww.

Kaz,

Good luck.

Thought I recognised that black & white cat.  He's walking a bit better this morning.  A short run is planned this afternoon.  Help ease the soreness I've been feeling from all the standing & walking on Sunday.  First race of the year has also been entered.  So need to get back into my running rather than making sure Chris gets his runs in.  Although I'm going to try & get him out of for a walk today.

7th skip,

Thanks.  I've not really ran for about 2 weeks & have concentrated on stretching as my hip has also been affected.  I'm going to try a run this afternoon.  I want to get myself sorted for my first race of the year which is going to be the 2.5 mile Hook race.

Well done guys.

I've not been getting any notifications from this thread for ages & thought I'd check it out now hubby has done his marathon in the hope that it gives me a lift while my body is healing from run/walking his long runs with him.  They have caused lots of problems with my knees so much so that I've struggled to walk the day after.

Stewart & Mathschick,

He's sore however will recover.  The trick is to make sure he moves about rather than lazing around.

Well done guys.  Great reports.

NN,

It would have been good to meet up however he didn't cross the line until about 5.15-5.20 and we had to get back to the hotel for the dinner reservation (getting lost along the way).

NP,

So do I as he's driving up to Nuneaton on Thursday and changing the rear sub frame on his mgf.

-------

Back home now and am having to deal with a mardy & clingy cat.
