Who else gets up at stupid O clock to run ??

Happy Sunny Friday to All,

2 miler this morning - first time I've ran 3 times in 1 week for a v long time & all SOC   Didn't feel as achy as expected, but hoping DOMS won't catch me out tomorrow, going on 18 mile cycle ride with cycling club.  Weather looks gorgeous too.

NW - Lots of sea birds, 1 luxury cruise liner docking at Liverpool Pier Head, 1 black cat & Peg Leg the 3 legged cat.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi All,

KateF, maybe hold off on a race list for a couple of weeks?  I hope to be able to seriously consider entering 10Ks in about 3 weeks.  Touch wood, fingers crossed etc.

SOC Body Pump & Abs Blast, then Circuits at lunch.  Must be 15 years since I last did Circuits.  I'm rubbish at some of the stations but nicely surprised at others. Instructor has done the event I'm eyeing up & confirmed the class will be good prep.

I seriously expect to suffer tomorrow, but hoping DOMS won't effect long bike ride on Saturday.

Nice to hear everyone is getting out & about, sorry Katiecom is feeling less than 100%

Toughmudder looks brilliant, but my fitness levels are only building back up to 10K at the mo'.  I watched my brother do Hellrunner in Delamere Forest about 1 year ago, that looked fab.  You never know, I might get the bug & take on Hellrunner & Toughmudder in 2013 (me & my big mouth)!

Mornin' All,

Bit bleary eyed this morning, stayed up late to watch Tri footage on iPlayer - WOW!  What a race.

That's some race schedule, KateF.  Look forward to hearing all about it.

The Men's Health 10K event is part of a series, if anyone's intersted:  http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/  I know some people prefer to avoid large corporation type events, but you might fancy a nosey?

2 mile route again this morning, lots of sea birds on the beach, 1 wood pigeon & Pegleg the 3 legged cat.  Can I carry over the bats that gave me a fly past when I pegged the washing out last night?

Hi Everyone,

SOC Body Pump & Abs Blast classes then back to gym for X-Biking at lunch today

Been re-living the old episode of The Likely Lads, trying to avoid news of Tri result & Bolt 200m heat.  Proved difficult as I work in an office of 70 & was at the gym at lunchtime.  A colleague blurted that Team GB had got another gold & radio at gym wittered that Bolt had done well - I'd caved by 2.30pm & had quick visit of BBC website.  It was probably unrealistic to swerve the results before I could watch iPlayer about 7pm anyhoos.  I'm sure I'll still enjoy catching up, even knowing the result.

Many thanks for the supportive comments about my slow & steady return.  A friend has suggested we enter Survival of the Fittest in Manchester - 10K with obstacles.  Could be fun??

Well done on trail run at weekend, Katiecom.  Hope the niggle disappears.

Enjoy the weather, all!

Morning, 2 mile plod on promenade - not exactly Men's 100m Olympic final, but Day 1 of new training plan. Really enjoyed last night's TV coverage, wonder if many will be inspired to get off their sofas, hope so.

Have a good Monday, Everyone

Hi Everyone,

Nice to hear that everyone seems in good spirits & enjoying the Olympics.

Been on hols in The New Forest for the last week & work was bonkers the week before, so just been catching up.

Managed a couple of 2 mile runs, trips to the gym & been out on my bike, over the last fortnight, so continuing the good & steady progress.  Can report a cracking NW during a run in The New Forest - 1 very large buzzard, 2 deer & 3 ponies.  Have got a new training plan sorted, a couple of 10Ks & possibly maybe a HM in mind.  Managed a spontaneous trip to London from Hampshire - fabulous to experience the atmosphere of the Host City, Hyde Park and Potters Field were great big screen venues.  Was a bit disappointed that the rings weren't down on Tower Bridge - but memorable day, none the less.

Chris - I'm being daft, I couldn't open the link to your pics.  I'll engage the brain & have another go.

I'm guessing we're all staying up late for Men's 100m Final?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to hear Mathschick is in the wars.

Blondieburns, I was a SOC regular for years, just returning after a break of almost a year.  If it helps, I've always found that it helps to set the body clock first, then build up the mileage.  At the mo' I'm re-introducing the idea of getting out 3 times a week - 2 SOC & 1 NOC, will then build up the miles.  That's the plan anyhoos.

Was out NOC on Mon.  Tue was early doors gym classes - Body Pump & Abs, lunchtime spinning class.  This morning was SOC 2 miler.  Ouchie McOuch.

NW - lots of garden and seabirds.  1 doggie looking unimpressed at wearing Vet's cone (perhaps he was out early to avoid the other dogs making fun?).  3 ORs.  No breadvans or plod.

Enjoy the sunshine

Thanks for the welcomes, I can confirm it wasn't me hula hooping at the concert, but I did teach Grace Jones how to hula with confidence - ahem

Katiecom, a thought about tonight's social - info & contacts are the trick to easy/good house hunting, you might just hear of a fab houseshare that's due to come up soon?
