Good Luck to you cragchick.  It's beyond contemplation for me but I certainly wish you well.

Hi Dawnie. It's a while since I've run along the Cromford Canal but I do recall 1 tunnel which was long enough to prevent my Garmin watch from getting a signal. Even so, you can see daylight at the other end so it depends how much the dark is a concern for you. as I remember, you come off the canal & down to the road with a short distance to the Hurt Arms.

I must say I really enjoyed those runs along the canal & I hope you can enjoy them too.

Evening Booktrunk. It's good to see you back on board.

All the Best to you from me.

Booktrunk I've been lurking for a long time & was full of admiration for you when you decided to take this on. I felt very disheartened for you when I read the message about C017. I can't imagine what it must have been like in today's conditions. No doubt Ladybower will be like a walk around the park in comparison

Sending you Big hugs & Warmest Good Wishes.

Could I ask for some idea of what you're thinking of as long distance? Is that in a single run or per week / month? At the moment I don't run as much just now but maybe I could help. If you could give some idea of distance I'd know better.

Thanks Shepski. I have run it before but didn't quite enter soon enough this time! I ran in 2011 & 2013 so I'd like to be in for 2015.

Well Done to you for being ready!

So, 12 hours after opening the race is full. I'm on the waiting list. Did anyone on here manage to get a place? Anyone else on the waiting list?

I'm not sure why Im not having much joy but I have managed to see a small map from Garmin Express but not through Google Earth or Map my run.

Muttley thanks for your input too.

Thanks Magic Roundabout. I will have a look at home tonight. Did you find Map my run straightforward to use? I haven't used anything for years, so I'm not familiar with Garmin Express. I do want to see some runs though. Thanks for your input.

As there have been lots of views and no comments yet, perhaps I should mention that I'm not getting any joy when trying Garmin or Motion based. What software are people using to view their running routes on a map?
