Wishing you 'All the Very Best' DE!

Morning all

Posted: 16/05/2016 at 22:04

I remember you SuperCaz. You don't really know me though as I lurked more than I posted. I too have been away from the forum for a while, though still running (apart from last October to March). I'm delighted to hear you're getting your health sorted & can look forward with some excitement even if it might have a bit of trepidation alongside.

As for missing anything ... Well, apparently not everyone who runs marathons covers the same route as the majority! But, nah, the good news is it's much the same old familiar & comforting stuff (maybe someone else will list a shed load of new items). So, Welcome Back SuperCaz.

Boing! There's a surprise, and not only 'cos it's more than a week late.

Thinking of you, wherever yo are these days.

I enjoy reading your write ups DE. There is always a good amount of detail. Just a few times I've had coke but in a bottle. I understand we don't always get the choice though. It's not easy for me to get much down as the bubbles are too lively for my liking.

I'm sure you will learn from your experience & remember to have dry bags with you. Also, you've had the mental demons & not caved in, so you can take some positives from the mental side as well as the physical achievements. You didn't say whether you saw Isaac before his bed time but I do hope that was a happy ending to a good day out.

DE - I like the sound of your Minster run (apart from the submerged path!). I might have stayed at the same Youth Hostel. It's all a bit extra to get to the start line from there.

When will you do the Wolds Way?

First of all: Well Done spen 71 for resurrecting this thread & Thank You.

I'm currently not running, so I have no idea about the year ahead. However, I would like to wish everyone Good Luck with their hopes, aspirations & plans.

I have some but little experience with ultras so it's Hats off to spen71, T Rex & Drunken Euphoria.

Any idea when the BGR might be spen71.
