Computer not recognising Garmin Forerunner 305

Posted: 22/09/2015 at 16:04

I've often had the same problem with my 305. Its usually salt building up on the contacts on the back of the watch. Give em a clean with a wet wipe, or a pencil eraser or whatever. And the contacts on the holster. Dry them out and hopefully that should solve it.

So, any fell runners hanging out on here?

Yep, another one here mostly doing the Mercia races but with the occasional foray into Wales.

Id like to complain about the final point.

Couldnt turn the hose off quick enough. Poor thing.

Chi Running DVD seems to show heel striking

yep theyre pretty similar. Just straighten your leg out to do the leg raise - its probably just a little bit harder as your fully lifting your leg so perhaps more effective. Either is good though.

Dont worry about where your feet are striking too much - youll end up forcing them into unnatural positions.

best thing to focus on is your cadence - try and keep a cadence of 180+ and you will naturally then stop overstriding.

The other thing with IT bands can be if your pelvis rocks about - squats and side lying abductors can help.

Fitsip - anyone tried it?

Gotta agree with the other comments. Whilst I dont have first hand knowledge of the product - I can say for certain.

200ml is not much. If you need to drink then you will need at least a pint. Otherwise just wait till you get home.

It is expensive. considering you can get good bottle belts for that amount.

I can also imagine the liquid would get warm as would your wrist!

Looks very gimmicky

Andy Murray for SPOTY

I've never understood the obsession with SPOTY - Winning Wimbledon/TDF/Olympic Gold etc far surpasses the stupid publicity contest.
