TB had a nice conversation with one of your old friends Bill Robinson from Glossop, he lives in Kendal and works for the national trust.

he told us of epic battles you had over the years with him

BB.  Didn't quite go to plan, me and Paul bailed out after 12 miles.

the rest waited for us a the first food check point ,we told them to carry on without us but unfortunately they got timed due to the fact they waited for us.

better luck next year

Eric- It's the London marathon, nearly every marathon runner  in the world wants to run it.

Had a fantastic weekend with good company.

Very eventful from opening the toilet door in Costa coffee, suprising an Asian gentleman wiping his backside to sitting in Harrods for over an hour waiting for Sophia to buy a coat.

As for the race, my most consistant pacing for a long time(a nice 12 sec neg split).

Me and GBM stuck together till the 20 mile mark,at this point upped his pace a little and ran a fantastic race, big well done mate.

Maybe I could of gone with him, but my shin had been aching right from the start so I decided to stick to my sub 2.55 plan.

Half way 1.27.20   2.54.28  43rd Old get, I even managed to overtake 187 runners in the last 7.2km, with only 8 people overtaking me.

It was great to meet up with all the Harriers over the weekend, same again next year for number 10.
