Best of luck to everyone heading south this weekend, safe journey.

For me it's the best marathon in the world, soak it up and enjoy every minute of it.

Larny I bought a Garmin 310xt because the numbers were bigger, great bit of kit though.

I've seen that site with all the info on it's very good

1 mile and 2 mile reps bang on time

Track tonight 1 mile, 2mile 1 miles reps

2Old  going to try and go out faster for the first half this year, I held back last year because I thought the hills would empty me.

At the expo there is a stall that sells rubber pace bands for all targets, they are very good because the numbers protrude slightly which is ideal for my failing eyesight.

Larny.  Mile 21 is the only significant hill, I checked my splits times and that was my slowest mile, after that it's down hill all the way

Did 16 mile yesterday with the last 3 at MP

nothing daft now just ticking over and a massage booked for next week

Chicago marathon 2014

If you go on the Chicago web site there is a link to all the hotels within a certain vicinity of the start and finish areas.

Me and my mate have booked into the Intercontinental Chicago it's 0.6 mile from the start, no deposit required and you can cancel up to the day before without any charge.
