Pubic bone area

Posted: 24/02/2014 at 18:53

Just got over a similar injury/pain in this area which was as a result of tight hip flexors. I had pain in the lower abdomen, lower back and pelvic areas.

Cause? Rigorous speed work, hill training in the lead up to half marathon with the added challenge of running in very cold and icy conditions (I live in Canada).

I had thought it was something more serious, went to my GP, all tests came back negative.

Hope this helps.

Upset stomach when running

Go easy on the fibre...I have a small portion of fruit with probiotic yoghurt and a couple of slices of toast.

Also you need to allow enough time to digest or as I have found I have to stop for a loo break on runs.

The best person to talk to you re: meds is your doctor.  Also talk to a counsellor about what's causing your anxiety etc., I was prescribed Cipralex.  I also have a very mild sedative for really bad times.

Thanks Grimfoot....the kitchen table now looks like a pharmacy!

I am actively resting for a change, and have decided to take the weekend off from running etc., and RELAX.

Will resume next week, and it should be a good race.

I have just been prescribed anti-depressants due to anxiety disorder and will be testing them out for a couple of weeks.

Hubby and I emigrated to Canada from the UK 3.5yrs ago and due to having to deal with a lot of doo doo, my nerves have been well and truly jangled.  My weight has dropped and I have a high stress job.  The doctor told me to eat more - first time I have ever heard that one.

Am doing a half marathon next weekend and then start training for a full marathon a couple of weeks after.

Yes, I ran this race quite a few years ago now in road shoes which worked out fine.  Of course if there has been a lot of rain, then trail shoes might help.

Frustrating situation

Got new shoes now.... going to continue training over the winter but no more races until 2014.

More physio on Friday (they say the healing process is going well) so fingers crossed.  They put on that special coloured physio tape on each leg which apparently works wonders (?!).

you really are the b***h from hell.  you're about to swan off on vacation leaving us knee deep in s**t (a massive workload) to deal with in your absence.

I'm SO glad I got a job offer with the CLIENT, then I'm getting the f**k out of this place.

Likewise re:

Also only use Facebook for 'talking to others' and very very rarely actually update my own status.
