Well one slow 30 minute run tonight to start with, my boy has come along too daughter St gymnastics so got to pick her up soon. My kids do so the importance that my lad plays alot of football and goes to Glos academy for Rugby. My daughters gymnastics training is alot as she competes in National and British Championships.
I have got to fit more around work and fetching and dropping off also. But for me to do a marathon is what I set out to do a few years ago. I have done Birmingham HM twice and a few other runs. I just got to do what is right get my focus back and set my plan out. At the weekends I wish mine did sleep haha

I could run before work but that does mean a 5am start for shorter runs as I hit my office around 7am after the journey.

It is hard to find an hour now and again with My daughter and gymnastics and my boy football and rugby I know excuses hey not good enough.
Suppose it's all about the desire to succeed.
The last thing I want is to start a marathon and then let myself down so I have to put more into planning and training correctly

Hello after a few years away from running and back playing football, I want to return to my running and aim for a marathon next year. My stumbling block is getting back from work after 6 towards 7 then not having the focus to push myself to put a sustained run in. End up doing a quick half hour run. Any help?

Hi,

i started on the treadmills a few years ago but got bored after i went outside a few times. as previous advice take it careful. Are you looking to go road running or into the sticks and trial run. i went into trial running and found it kept everything interesting and really had my focus on the surroundings.

its not an issue to mix both but you may find that you will get bored of the treadmill the more you take to going outside.
