Taking kids to a ParkRun

Posted: 08/09/2013 at 15:18

The youngest at Bedford who does the 5k is a four year old. He also is our youngest volunteer too.

All children are welcome at Bedford parkrun whether they run, jog or walk. Those in buggies can come along too but obviously we cannot scan them.

More information can be found at www.parkrun.org.uk/bedford

Where has the year gone? We will be running, walking, jogging, wheeling (yes buggies and wheelchairs) and volunteering for our 55 event on Saturday 9th June.

Usually 52 weeks in a year but we held extra runs over the Christmas / New Year period.

Please come along and join us in Bedford Park to help us celebrate. Fancy dress is very welcome

St Neots Riverside Half-Marathon

Posted: 06/11/2011 at 20:20

Hello,

I have two entries for the St Neots Half. One is for an attached runner and the other is for an unattached.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to run (attached entry) and my friend can't run (unattached)

It's a great half marathon and both of us would love to run. But if you're looking for a place, please get in touch.

 Thanks

Disabled Runners get pages...

Hopefully I'm not cutting the thread too much and diverting off the track (haven't much time to read all 7 pages of the thread!)... just thought that I would introduce myself to this thread.  I am a (registered) disabled athlete, sports coach and Events Director of the soon to be Bedford parkrun. I have 'temporarily retired' from triathlons until I have saved up enough for a specialised bike but I still continue to pack in as many running races as possible and once again am looking forward to the Edinburgh Marathon this year. (If you receive the runbriatin.com newsletter you will know who I am as an article about me was in there not so long ago)

Will let you kow when the Bedford parkrun will be going live on the parkrun website. Shouldn't be too long but we are getting all of the other things in place first.

Full steam ahead   We are officially up and running from June 2011 (this will ensure that all of the equipment is in perfect working order and that some of the parkrun crew are back from Edinburgh Marathon).
