been a while since ive posted  just back from portugal  a short break  took running shoes  and ran every morning in the sun  bliss , have decided i need to start again  as i have missed  the effort  and fresh air

can anyone give me any info on this race   how the race was and how to pay the fee     tried the website but was unclear  on were it starts and finishes

completed the brighton marathon in just over  5 hours  not happy  my groin strain started again  after 20miles  so had to walk but managed a run to the finish    was not impressed with the race   expensive and not very scenic to many twists and turns and having to climb up stairs to reach the main road after the race  would not recommend this race  said this would be my last marathon but because of rubbish time  this may not be so   have applied for london marathon next year   ive had a few runs since then  but still get twinges  may try the airdrie half marathon this week end

havent trained since my groin strain 2weeks ago it has eased off but twitches every now and then  will try a short run at weekend  just to see how things are   my marathon at brighton is the 15 april

havent posted for a while  i have a marathon in 3weeks  went on long run on sunday 18miles  came back with a groin strain  this has eased off some but is there anything i can do to  ease the pain   not had this before

decided today to go for a longer run to see how my legs would be feeling  managed around 11 miles  of running /walking in the sun /wind  felt good  see how legs  feel over the next few days    only training every 2 days and at gym for weight training the other days with rest day during the week .

havent been here for a long time  have the brighton marathon in april  last race  10k in sept and before london marathon in 2010  thought i was finished with races but got offer to run brighton and couldnt pass it by    have started my training on monday and wed, didnt realise how  badly my legs and back would be     will have to invest in another pair of running shoes   do gym work  in between running   will let you know how things go

as im now unemployed i have joined the gym and was very surprised with the extra weight (5k) i have put on over the  the last 6months  i will hopefully get in more gym/running time and get this spread from mtystomach the get back to racing.

tp  thanks info on nb race  will try to get there     its been snowing in cumbernauld for a couple of hours  its lying on the ground  hope it doesnt last as long as last time  .
