Thanks Ikle not sure about being an inspiration I think it is about choice. I think we could choose to just sit on the couch (doing that at the moment) or get out and give it a go. It really does not matter how quickly we run it is just great to be out there doing it.

Having said that every race these I do I compete against myself and am pleased to finish in a half decent time. My lovely daughter who took up running because of me ran a recent local half marathon alongside me and said " Mum when you run this slow don't you feel cold"

Wow Glastonbury. Certainly no good trainers needed there. Good 10k times posted by you lot I can only dream of fast 10ks these days as I have had a prolapsed disc and horrible sciatica AGAIN but back running again thanks to discovering the Alexander stretching technique.

As I did not start running until I was 50 I peaked around 60 with sub 50 mins 10ks etc. But hey ho I am 67+ and running marathons and feeling great. Cannot ask for more

I know I keep referring back. I have GFA a few times and every year the entry procedure is different! I do hope it is not going to be more complicated!
