I'm tired, but if I go to bed then it will be tomorrow and I don't want it to be tomorrow yet.

Yes, get that feeling all the time!

Some very good April fool's round here yesterday.  I had lunch in the Cheese Society today (highly recommended) and heard that at their cheese shop they had put up a board outside advertising a special cheese on sale for one day only which was made with pig's milk and had at least one very disappointed customer who was really excited about trying it.

This archaeological find was a good one though:

I had a clearout at the weekend.  When I'd finished I noticed I'd still got the timing chip for Gainsborough 10k - which I didn't get to about 3 weeks ago - and thought where's my timing chip for Lincoln 10k next Sunday.  I'd got the race number, coloured wristband for start zone, and race booklet but no sign of a timing chip.  I ended up tipping out the contents of my recycling bin to see if I'd thrown it out in error - before the realization dawned on me that Lincoln 10k uses the chip that is attached to the rear of the race number - and sure enough there it was!

According to the bottom of this page, the Melton Food and Drink Festival is coming round in 900 years time.  Hope it's worth the wait.

All I can add is I found a crumpet dumped next to my doorstep today.  No cheese or marmite on it - but I did put it in the bin.

Mental illness and running

Good to hear your making progress, Grimfoot.  I've certainly had a bad time running wise but have done a few Parkruns on the basis that it's about as far as I feel I can run non-stop at the moment.  Difficult going at first but am gaining a bit of confidence at turning up which meant I improved my PB by 51 seconds.  Even a Parkrun has been leaving me pretty exhausted for the rest of the day.  I stopped taking the anti-depressants just over a week ago because I was feeling so rubbish.  Yesterday's Parkrun may have been an indication that this was a good move - difficult to tell as there are ups and downs.

That's certainly got to be one big yule log to beat the official record.

Good to be back to normality - the one annoying thing at the moment is wanting to catch up on Doctor Who and Mrs Brown's Boys only to find them absent on BBCi player.
