Martin Sorry if I got it wrong but when you start talking about hills only one thing I can think of

FIDO looks like you are on your own. Your marathon plan looks good to me. If you want any other slow marathon training runs the last finishers at FOXYs events are always around 6 hours and places still some up very close to the date. Would be good to see you at the quadzilla where I will be looking using every day for 25/5 practice so something around 5 hours.

No running since Tuesday for me really bad cold and feeling very tired think reatail at Christmas and the last month just caught up with me. but as long as I watch what I eat! a week or so off will do no harm maybe even some good

Hello all hope training is going well. Just on the off chance wonder if anyone has entered county to capital 45 ? My target for tp is finish using 25/5 from the start which will use for above looking for a finish at c2c of around 9 hours

Howard very impressive

Had a couple of runs at my new 25/5 run walk. Seems ok and definitely better than trying to run slower. For those who dont know added county to capital 45 to my list with the intention of doing at least the marathon distance using the above then see how it goes

Fido looks to me like you may have someone else going back to comrades. Its not me by the way although have entered county to capital today. Not sure if the fact a 45 mile run does not worry me is good or very stupid

Nfs your plan and recent times suggest YOU HAVE A GREAT CHANCE of sub 3.45 if u get your pacing right

Hello all

Susan keep positive

Howard really getting there well done

Times. We all have a best distance itd just that it may not be our favorite. Deep down for me know its 10k but kjust don't enjoy them. A very ruff bench mark is 50 minutes for a 10-k 1.50 for the half if you want sub 4 but I achieved both well before sub 4

My times are currently going backwards but part of bigger target. Marathon numbers 13/14 of the year at the weekend both cold and windy. Positive was actually the Saturday . Time was 4.40 BUT the Friday had been a sub 4 attempt. But not recovered enough so 4.13. I ddidn't enjoy Saturday but being miserable is something I will have to deal with next year.

Susan xxxx Although there is no way for me to understand what I do know is

1) Being positive and you are is really important

2) Being fit always helps and you are

Justcoop This year has been very different I have now done 12 marathons this year but my total mileage has still not broken 1000! 2 reasons for this first I came to the conclusion that 20 miles by myself was worse than a "steady" marathon 2nd once I had committed to the 100 miler next year felt this was the way to go accepting I would bot be as fast as I have been. Its been different but the best part is that the distance does not worry me anymore and have no trouble sleeping the night before. DONT follow me however you will never find this in a training log.
