Well done to all TR runners one for my bucket list think

Get well Howard

Martin yes I should do more speed work but the problem with the leg has ment impossible. Thursday was good as no issue during or after. IF im serious about next years target race the more marathon s the better and will not worry about time. Time is going to be biggest issue

Im no expert compared to a lot but would recommend a walk in the evening Saturday for about a mile and a short one before the start Sunday. Also if you can face it a cold bath does work had one every night on my 4 in 4 and was a real help 10 minutes. Good luck

Thanks Richyla. The longest Ive done so far is Comrades so agree re hills however and can already hear people laughing is I work in retail so do 10 hours a day on my feet everyday which must help. Thing I found out at last years Comrades was power walking is as good if not better than a poor run. A friend started at the back of this years SDW and moved up the field to 2nd last of the FINISHERS and that's what matters

Has taken me a long time to recover so want to do them as part of my training. Plan currently sub 20 for the 4 at similar pace Last year was sub 18  Traget for TP would be a finish All views welcome thanks

Dannirr There are those with a LOT more experience than me but if it helps I set my marathon PB as part of my training for Comrades in 2013. Didn't even think about it until half way felt good so went for it. May have been a different story if stood on the start thinking about it.
