sub 4 hour group,if anyone wants to get together

Posted: 09/04/2014 at 16:03

HELLO all

Just a quick good luck to all on Sunday.

Just read the last few posts totally agree without a doubt to many 8.35 miles in the first half on Sunday (didn't try its just my natural pace) cost me a sub 4 last 3 miles were 10.23/10.35 and 12.23 although once new sub 4 was gone just walked although my pb was a positive split and only by a minute the best I have felt at the end of any marathon have been even pace and on 1 occasion a negative split

Hello all

Totally rubbish posting again but wanted to wish everyone doing Brighton and Manchester? good luck. I fly out to Greece very early Friday with not a clue how I will do "Alexander the great marathon" as taken it easy for the last 6 weeks. Even thinking of running without a watch but will just be good to get away for a few days with my wife no kids no dogs

Well done IKLE

I only run 3 times a week and never any more due to work and the many other things life throws at you and yes Im sure I could be quicker but half full not half empty glass says Ive done OK

Hang in there everyone. Whatever time you run one thing you will still be a MARATHON RUNNER. How many people can say that

Agree with frc. I think its not only the time but how you feel at the end yes it's a race but at the end how would you feel if I said right go and do that again but you can have an extra 20 minutes for that one

Ikle. In the same way I think its a good plan. With your ultra running endurance is good for you a negative split would be good. Get to half way in 2.0? and then decide.

Well done Susan

Shedboy- Glad feeling better

IKLE- I long ago stopped worrying about what I should be able to do. just enjoy it

15 miles this morning in 2.15 for me hilly/windy and more than I should but never mind. 3 x niggles all held up so happy with that, Hope to have a crack at sub 4 in Greece but we will see. Its good to be back on the thread

Shedboy- Listen to your body. Assuming you are a boy we are awful at doing the right thing pace on long runs/running when injured etc etc the ladies are so much better. The reality is its better to get to the start healthy than not? You loose 2% fitness each week you don't run its not a lot

Fido Nice one Pen F for you then, I am glad its finally reached the 1st March so that's it cant enter

Thanks Susan

Any ideas when it sold out last year. very tempted but under the fizz at the moment with a few niggles (following quadzilla) so don't want to commit. Also reason intrested in this one is navigation which I hate. realise dark for longer but as never more than 12 and half miles from home easier?
