hello all

looks like you had a great time.

Dave Taper madness you no you can do it

marathon number 10 of the year Sunday in Nottingham. happy with a 4,05. A little on the hot side but overall a good run. Went with the sub 4 pacer to mile 20, He was 70 and good to talk to. Running round the lake at 20 started to feel it so backed off accepted no sub 4 and had a practice at my power walking. Felt good using a different set of muscles which was the biggest plus of the day. Today a VERY gentle 5k but overall a step in the right direction. Next test Snowden followed 2 days later by a run round the lakes at MK. No target and no watch for either just finish

Thanks all

The reason for the marathons is simple I find 26.2 with others a lot easier than 20 on my own and the idea of 30+ almost impossible. The 2nd reason is I do want to join the 100 marathon club so......

As for not racing them I did last years quad and did 4.18 day 1 and 4,33 day 4 with the other 2 between so did pace it well however did take a number of weeks to recover so will be slower this year.

I can get up to 30-35 miles a week so thanks for that comment. The SDW will be the big test not just the distance but my feet as 2 x Comrades have both been effected by blisters

Hello all.

Concerned about my lack of miles but work is really getting in the way

My longer runs are looking ok as using marathons

September Robin Hood
October Snowden Sat Round the lakes in Milton Keynes 3 days later
November Double marathon
December marathon
January ?
Feb Quadzilla (4 marathons in 4 days)
March ?
April SDW50
May TP100

My concern is the other runs For marathons ran 3 times a week quicker than most plans would say but that just wont work for this. I do work in retail so 8 hours on my feet every day may help.

Anyone else struggling with finding the time?
