Just to clarify the course information. The route hasn't just been thrown together or planned to be long or short. It is true howevert, that, again, major construction work has impacted on the planned route and as a result the course cannot be run entirely on tarmac/concrete. The route is a start section on the Green on the Promenade, followed by a route that includes tarmac and concrete but a section on a hard farm-track style surface. It is this section that means we cannot get a certificate of course accuracy and the race is officially classed as multi terrain.
The route is as stated above as close to 13.1 miles as gps measurement will allow.
The races carry UKA licences and results will count towards RunBritain rankings - in other words it is an official UKA sanctioned race.
Scruffymonkey - not sure we have any option (aprt from cancelling). It is something completely outside our control.
