working at it slowly

if only nogs was closer!! we only have a small garden, the back is just lawn which is easy, but the front has plants that get enormous. One day, when nothing else needs doing to the house we will have it done professionally. We have had a lot done to the house since we moved in - new kitchen, new bathroom, new windows, new external doors, flooring in the living room.... there is still a lot that could be done! But a yearly holiday is important too

Podds - you will be fine in Ride London

I always forget what hard work it is trying to sort out the garden - I have spent hours chopping stuff, getting hot, bothered, blisters, covered in insects and sticky burrs. It is all in piles waiting for OH to come home and take it to the tip - I can't face doing that! Would love to get someone to sort the garden for me - dig out all the horrible plants in and leave us with just some nice small ones that don't take so much chopping, but always seem to spend the money on more important things. i have showered the insects out of my hair but need to pick the stick burrs off my clothes before they can go in the wash!

oh, thought I had posted before - slugs, love the top!

We had an Iraqi refugee at my last school - how he ended up in Notts I am not quite sure, he saw his parents killed in front of him in Iraq and somehow managed to get out, was either fostered or adopted here (not sure) and did very well at school, he did have enough time before taking exams to learn English well enough though. Tough life, and I am not sure anyone quite recovers fully from the things he must have gone through, he was lucky to get good foster parents, some other foster parents I have come across in my time haven't been very caring and nuturing...but probably still better for the kids than being in a home

((razor)) - if you had stayed on the bike you might have ended up having an accident, you did the right thing stopping. I think I saw you swimming past me - I was surprised when someone was swimming so fast past me towards the end of the swim! Never realised it was you.

Ali - blimey those cuts off are harsh - I can't remember which race you are doing

look after your feet!! get some cream or something from the chemist to deal with the trench foot/any other bugs on them!

I have turboed and run today not a brick because I had stuff to do in between but the turbo was a sufferfest and the run was hard

think tomorrow if the weather is good I will take my mtb out for some fun on the trails round here. It has been raining most of today, even though it wasn't forecast

(daffs)

I went to Nottingham shopping today but didn't manage to buy anything - how disappointing!

The house is starting to feel too empty now without the boys here, but I am sure that within 15 mins of them being back they will be arguing and I will cross
