Garmin Connect Group

Posted: Today at 09:49

Haven't used garmin connect for ages, and now I don't seem to be able to upload anything to it

I tried downloading the garmin express app but that says it has synced but the data isn't on the website.

Anyone else still having problems or is there something basic I have missed?

Franny - I only go outside in the ice if I really really have to - like for work!! Otherwise I try to stay in where I can't hurt myself

it  has been a lovely day here, we have been over at the in-laws, the roads are horrible, I really hate driving in this, I let OH drive but then I make a really nervous passenger and it drives him mad

anyway, all home and safe now. OH is off tomorrow so we may head out for some lunch and to buy a few bits and pieces!

I am fed up with chocolates now, and the kids at school bought me loads!!!

franny - sorry to hear you haven't been able to enjoy the time off, hope you are able to get a run in tomorrow

I haven't run for a couple of days now because of the snow and ice, I just know I will fall flat on my bum!

went to see the Hobbit yesterday which the kids and OH really enjoyed. Then a meal at pizza express after, the roads near to Nottingham are ok, but where we live they are pretty bad. We have come over to the in-laws today and they are terrible over here! A lot of people are not happy about the lack of gritters

PSC - probably get off road tomorrow during day light, but as we are visiting the in-laws today I only have the dark hours and don't really want to go off road in the dark, and then there is the pavement between me and the fields...Not sure the temperature will lift enough to melt much of it today but tomorrow we are home most of the day

Running on Thin Ice

Posted: Yesterday at 09:08

frost is usually ok, but ice is a pain - we have had snow which has thawed a little then re-frozen. As I am also rubbish on these surfaces I just don't run on them! Like ric says, either go offroad, or go and use a treadmill at the gym, or do some cross training instead

Chris - you are a nutter!!

been to see the Hobbit - my youngest loved it, he is really into the books as well as the films, he is only 10!

Think it will be turbo again tomorrow for me, it is just too icy for me to run, I always fall flat on my bum on this kind of weather! It is snowing again and the roads in and out of our town are not treated very well, the journey to Nottingham was a bit too exciting for my liking!

well done Daffs! Our parkrun was cancelled too

chuggs -  I know what you mean about the films, and I think they are just Jackson's interpretation, let's face it, he has strung out one short story into 3 books, and I think you just have to take them for what they are. They are well filmed, good effects, and has probably brought Tolkien to a new generation...
