Other than Flat Footed an myself, anyone else taking part in the Tour of Sufferlandria 2015? There's a Strava group for it which I've joined

I am giving it a go. Not sure about next Saturday's stage but will tackle it when I get there! I am not on strava though

steady - well done

alex - joining the local masters sessions was one of the best things I have done for swimming, means I am in a lane with people more or less the same speed as me so I don't get lane rage like in a public session and there are good coaches. Everyone is friendly too which is always nice

well, today didn't turn out the way I wanted it to - didn't have chance to get my long run in, so just did a short run and squeezed a turbo session in instead of heading to swimming

AF - oh what a pain about your wallet! We have different definitions of 'slow' I think!

I am fine, just too much work and stuff with the kids to do. Didn't have  time for the long run I should have done, but managed to nip out for 4 miles then decided not to swim and do a turbo instead

Jude - I love Granada and Cordoba. The Alhambra is beautiful, you'll love it

Ecky - I don't know Devon particularly well but all the photos I have seen look lovely

Who else gets up at stupid O clock to run ??

Posted: 25/01/2015 at 09:38

well done Chris - saw photos on the guardian website and it looked like fun! Not that I would like to get into water that cold!

Cal - hope you feel better soon, no point in racing if you are ill

I woke up with a headache and feeling a bit snowed down with everything I need to do and not enough time to do it. That includes trying to get a long run in, but I will do school work first then it won't be hanging over me.

Chris - i have done a few tris and am aiming at a half ironman this year. The downhills on the bike scare me too!

polly - run/walk has made a massive difference to me and last year I finally finished my first marathon and had a whole year injury free. I did a second marathon too. As Chris said - the recovery is amazing. First day after my first marathon I was expecting to struggle, but I was fine. And after the second I was back at work the next day no problems.

morning

ecky - great to have you back!

Jude - have a lovely time in Spain - whereabouts are you going?

Hope your educations system doesn't turn too much like China - there is far too much pressure on the kids there

woken up with a bit of a headache, feeling a bit swamped with everything I need to do and not enough time to do it all

I love them and find them much better than watching  a boxset or something. Using them has definitely helped me get my cadence up.
