Best Jacket To Wear

Posted: 25/11/2014 at 18:46

I find a base layer under my long sleeved top is good - a jacket makes me sweaty then I feel cold from the sweat. Thin gloves if it is really cold, and maybe a thin hat or for when it is really cold I have North Face ear gear which keeps my ears warm without my head getting too hot

Ali - sometimes a bit of time off is needed, just don't let the weight gain take too much of a hold! It is always harder to lose weight than regain fitness

having said that, I haven't done anything apart from work today, but did go to waitrose for some nice fish for dinner

Who else gets up at stupid O clock to run ??

evening all

Emmy - that is a bit worrying!

Christmas tree watch already

I stayed in bed this morning (well, only till 6) wanted to get out in between work and needing to cook, but got home really late and have too much to do. Ah well, today was a rest day then and tomorrow is another day

Just a Little Bit Further - 2014

loads better now thanks, and somehow got myself out of bed early this morning for a run under the stars. It was cold and frosty but lovely

AF - take care

Jude - brilliant, takes some determination to run all that way without support etc

where did everyone go?

Just can't run fast

Posted: 24/11/2014 at 20:08

you can do a half marathon at that speed!! You probably wouldn't be last either. I am speaking from experience of being slow (slower than you sometimes) and not being last.

But in training for a longer run, you will probably get quicker overall. Just be careful not to do too much all at once because you will end up injured.

bloody hell, pete, be careful!! You shouldn't go up ladders unless someone is holding the bottom!

well, didn't swim last night but did run this morning, cold, frosty, but lovely morning to be out

evening all

well, last week being unwell then a weekend off worked for me - felt much better this morning and enjoyed a nice slow plod under a starry sky this morning, very cold and frosty but there is something I love about these kind of mornings

Emmy - I find the mental struggle is worse than the physical one! Sometimes the thought of going out for a long run knowing I am going to be x number of hours puts me off, but then when I drag myself out I enjoy it

hi all

I haven't done anything all week as I have had a crappy cold. Think I will go swimming tonight though before I get too used to the sloth-like lifestyle! And a frosty early morning run is planned for tomorrow.
