Just a Little Bit Further - 2014

well done AF, what a month!

I am full of cold, so no swimming, running or anything! I did meet up with a friend for lunch though and we spend hours chatting

morning all

good luck at Beachy

Gobi - don't retrain as a teacher is my advice

had a ridiculously busy week and now have the obligatory half term cold!

was going to do Worksop half tomorrow but given the cold and the fact that we are going away for a couple of days I think I will give it a miss, recover from the cold and get back to everything when we are back

morning all

sluggy - hope you are recovering well

I have had a really busy week with parents evenings both as teacher and parent and just generally lots to do, have read back but retained little, just that sluggy has had an op and some of you have strange tattoos!

I have also been having a bit of stress with appraisals! I didn't have the foresight to get last year's apppraisal signed off before I left in the summer, I tried emailing it but they are saying because the dept results were bad then everyone is getting 'needs improvement' ie no pay rise. Obviously I am not having that on a form to give to my new school so I have had to hand it in unsigned. Feeling a bit stressed by the whole thing

hi all

yes, on half term! at last!! I have really enjoyed my first half term, the kids are brilliant, other staff members great and I am generally happy

well, I have a cold, so may skip my planned half marathon on Sunday. We are going away for a couple of days to Lincolnshire - doesn't get more exciting than that!! Kids are off to London to stay with my big bro for 2 nights so we are going for 2 nights away without them for a bit of a R&R

camlo - happy birthday to your boy!

Matt - 5 months, ahhhhh, yours is still cute then! I have one teenager another that thinks he is a teenager

great swim tonight although I wasn't too excited about getting out of the pool after every 4th 50m sprint to do push ups. I can't do push ups. So he suggested squats which I just refused to do in a swimming costume. I settled for tricep type dips on the pool edge. Apparently this is the type of set we have to do when one of the squad buggers off to Brunei to live!
