Just A Little Bit Further 2013

Erm... what Chili said!

I agree, Chili trained well for this it was obvious at the end. She was still going well!

It sort of lifted the tough times when it hammered down with rain, just as we were going through a tight path with high bushes on each side. You couldn't get wetter. I stopped caring about skirting the puddles or dodging the small branches!

The official times were Chili at 04:37:53 and me at 04:41:35.

Thanks for the support all

Wonder how our Rocker is getting on...

Thanks and well done mc, sounds like some great progress with your knee. My own knee seems to be surviving. I think yet more form changes and keeping up with stretching has helped.

Well hello everyone It's been a while!

Morning Jude Enjoy your BBQ, hope you get lots of people turn up!

Hi Chili This wouldn't be marathon training for Thames Meander would it?! LSR of 2.5hrs!? nice one, thats really good going. I'm up for a 10 miler this weekend, so I'm running a little behind schedule (well actually there just isn't one this time round). I was looking at the calm pool at 8:30am this morning before #1's swimming lession, thinking that a return to swimming might help get to mara fitness quicker...

Hope everyone and families are well, and everyone is running.

Hi DJ, good to see you back here again and running

Ecky, What a fantastic achievement! Doing a marathon in that time is one thing, but with a massive bear on your back. Well thats something else. I could not have done that and I think it's amazing you could. Well Done!!

Hope your trip goes well Jude! It sounds very busy

Chili, Wow, How far is that? (I can personally recommend some of those lycra shorts with the padding in. Don't own a pair yet, but they are my next purchase!

Mr Chili, well done on keeping Chili fit!

Hi all. Boston is awful news isn't it. It's the right call to proceed with London I think. I guess thats a bit of the british we wont let them get to us type attitude coming out.

I rode my bike to work today. 23 mile round trip. I had a bike and there was nothing stopping me, but jeez my arse is in a bad way!! Hi Chili, yes I'm still running. on the comeback trail! Getting there slowly. I'm going to be aiming for work commute runs again. Hope youand family are ok. Hows your running going?

Have a good wednesday everyone

Great report dude It really helps to run with someone doesnt it. My own experience is also that the 20-22 mile markers are the busuiness end of the race. Any smile left on the face is wiped off and replaced with a steely, gut-it-out one. The wall? Probably, your body has run out of immediate energy to burn. Don't beat yourself up in any way, it was the hardest part and you came through it with a huge performance Anything goes for your first one! Sounds like you're doing better than I did recovery wise.

WELL DONE Franny and AF!!!  Absolutely brilliant times both of them! Franny, those conditions sound tough. AF, looking forward to your race report! We've got some real talent in this here CRAC squad (no LLB, I don't mean THAT sort of talent)

Both of you should be proud of yourselves
