Feet in the Clouds: A Tale of Fell-Running and Obsession by Richard Askwith

Posted: 19 February 2008
Overall: For a descriptive of the countryside its lovely, the story unravels and unravels and doesnt really go far - I really tried to like it but so far it remains unfinished, perhaps I shall go back to it when I have grown up (in my rocker)

PowerBar PowerGel

Overall: I think I have aquired the taste, the vanilla ones seem to be a favourite for me, good consistency and certainly has seen my stamina improve on the long run, e asy to carry in a pocket or hands and you dont have to carry a mass of rubbish afterwards! can get a little expensive as training hours build up

Asics GT-2100

Overall: lightweight shoes, ample cushioning with a good and roomy toe box, I tend to wear the mens (size 9) as the ladies model dont have quite the same fit for me, the heel tabs tend to pinch a bit but overall a competitively priced shoe.

Garmin Forerunner 201

Overall: You get out of this what you put in to it and vice versa, it appears a little large at first but once you are used to it you hardly notice it is there. Easy to use although some of the buttons I have never explored! The garmin software is easy to install and very user friendly and the data is also compatible with other mapping websites, the danger is you will spend more time indoros playing with the data rather than outdoors collecting it! Buy one and have fun !
