Jackie

I shouldn't despair too much just yet. I understand that in the last 2/3 weeks before the race, quite a few places come up for grabs due to injury etc. The Organisers I believe allow swopping of numbers (with notice) - You (and I) will just have to take a chance on leaving it to the wire!!

Same advice as I gave to Borders - just keep an eye on the various Forum topics in the run up to the race. I am sure you will end up sorted. Good luck!

Hi Borders

I tried (in vain) just after 6pm when I got home - sold out in just over an hour!

Similarly gutted!! - but keep an eye on the various forum threads, as spare places often crop up (injury etc) nearer the time. Good luck.

John Owens 5.

Hello John. I understand by reading through this forum thread that you come from Chorley. Me too - although I now live in exile on the Isle of Wight!

Just wanted to wish you a good run at Loch Ness. You sound ready and well prepared! I am travelling up with a mate to do the run, although I am not fully recovered from tendonitis (see how it goes).

Good luck - I hope it goes well for you.

Grade 2 calf tear 9 weeks before marathon

Karl.

I can sympathise with you entirely.

I had a similar injury (following a ski-ing accident) some 5 years ago. My advice would be to take your recovery very steadily indeed and potentially forget about a marathon for the forseeable future (sorry!).

Following my injury I 'appeared' to heal fairly quickly after being threatened with surgery!. I did all the right things - physio etc and followed Doctors orders to the letter. After @ 9 - 10 weeks I was able to get back into my running, albeit shorter distances initially (

Hi again.
I am still looking for a single place in this years Grizzly. (please!!)
If you have one available or sadly cannot make the event due to injury etc - please message me.
I will of course pay the full entry fee and sort out the necessary change of name etc with the organisers of the event.
I look forward to hearing from you if you are able to help.
Thanks again.
Mike

Hi Polly.
Probably a bit late - but if Migsie does not take your boyfriends Grizzly place, I would be interested.
I have advertised elsewhere on this forum for a place in this years Grizzly after missing the ballot - with no joy. I would of course be prepared to pay the full entry cost and any transfer/amendment fee.
many thanks
Mike

Hi All.
A bit of a long shot - but I am looking for a single place in this years full Grizzly (Seaton).
I wonder if anyone has a place but can now not make the event?
I would be prepared to pay the full entry fee and also any postage/admin costs.
I look forward to hearing from you if you can help.
Many thanks
Mike
