Should we have a right to anonymity on the Internet?

Posted: 27/06/2014 at 08:39

I think it's better that people can be anonymous on here (and on the internet generally). The best mechanism for dealing with the trolls ("so what you're saying is...") and the nutters is just to ignore them. And I can do that if they don't know who I really am. Like KK, I have met many forum members in real life at races and socials.

Suarez - punish or turn the other cheek?

Posted: 25/06/2014 at 14:18

As I understand it, the previous two times he bit another player in a match, he got a seven match ban and a ten-match ban ?

What I am wondering is why I want to hyphenate "ten-match" but not "seven match".

Try biting a policeman through their shirt. Even if you don't draw blood, I think you'll find out whether it's a criminal offence or not.

London Underground Staff Will Strike In Weeks To Comes

But when I go there, I always find the Underground staff very friendly and helpful and I hope they don't lose their jobs.

Me too. But I understood (when this originally came out) that all the required redundancies will be voluntary?

I regularly use a non-manned railway station. Completely non-manned. Nothing very bad seems to happen as a result.

It is difficult to spot when you're running, there are so many other people around you it kind of blocks the view. I've run past it myself and missed it a few years ago.

Rose, sorry, I always panic completely when one of our runners arrives in case they are one of the ones who needs to be handed some gels quickly!  I was probably scrabbling through our bag of things that people were expecting.
