Ru Nner

8 min mile HR says 121 / 2 bpm ave over 10 miles = 76% MHR

Had to go back to latter end of last year for 7 min a mile but,

HR was 132 / 3 bpm ave over 5 miles = 83% MHR

My max is 160bpm. That is by doing a HR test x2 , not by calculation.

OP heading. HR training, any point

2012, 11.2 mile runs ave time 1.52mins

2015, same run at same HR i.e. 70% MHR ave time 1.34mins.

It takes time and patience.

Just a foot note, I had been running for a few years prior to 2012.

Will check it out ASAP

My parkruns are slow at the mo because they are sandwiched between two work sessions, just turning the legs over really.

Friday at 80-83% runs for one hour

Sunday long runs at 70-75% for two and half to three hours

The LLenelli half marathon on the 19th. Its part of the full marathon

Ran the BB's 10 peaks 56 miler last September in Inov8 295,s  preformed well on all the surfaces covered. The day was dry though, and the ground firm. T-Rex was there

Trouble was my little toes were poking out of the sides by the time I finished, I did do all the training in them whilst on the hills.

Would / will buy another pair when I start training for this years race.

Great thanks Gideon.

Went out for a 11.2 mile run at 70% MHR  today and that's what I stuck with, = 8.40 pace at 113bpm.

Half way through ( week 10) of  my marathon training , Mont Saint Michel in Normandy 31st of May, with a half marathon in April just to see where I am at.

Are you still Hadding ?

Marathon training on a treadmill

Posted: 17/03/2015 at 07:49

I run my paced runs on the treadmill x2 per week, and I am training for a marathon.

Don't worry about it, do what you have to do to get yourself to the start line
