Cheered on husband and house guests today at the Three Forts Challenge. Sounded awful! The first thing David said to me was that I'd hate the course, so I don't think I'll bother  ;)

My Nanny came home yesterday. I'm not sure how she's done it but flipping heck! To go up three times in the past five weeks, being told each time would probably be the last time I saw her and for her to come home is pretty darn cool.

Now I need a celebratory snooze

Why thank you most kindly, Mr DB

I am off to goofle thundersnow FeFe, ta...if I survive the apocalyptic black clouds which are over the Smoke tonight, that is! Mousie, I hope you survived the Smoke ok today...D avoided going to town today, what with the choo choo striking and all.

5 more sleeps away...and this weekend we have Pirate visitors, exciting (as long as they ignore the scaffolding, missing skirting so and none-painted landing and conservatory)...!

I have a proper question. How can it hail and snow when it's 11 degrees on the car thermomebob? I know I could goofle it but where's the fun in that?

*waves to Will* hope you're not snowed in up north, if we have a dusting, you must have six foot!

Glad marathon legs are good. Limper, I recall funkin having the very same issue with the lowering onto loo seat. I think he held onto the door jamb (was a teeny house but his arms are quite long).

I watched a sheep have a c-section on the tellybox earlier. Talk about early mobilisation! Local anaesthetic, delivered, sutured and she was up! I might implement it with humans

I have news of the most excellent variety. I haz a new job down by the seaside. Huzzah! As of May 12th I won't be travelling to the Smoke for work.

Well done you marathon folk it seemed a funny day from the telly coverage with a lot of falling over, from normal folk not just elite afflete types. Hope legs are all good.

This morning's run for me was interrupted by not being able to lever myself out of bed...too busy watching Mrs Bluetit and her nest building antics

I had a very full on three days at work, then drove up to the family so I could see Nanny yesterday. Stayed in a little B&B on Wednesday night, had a grand brekkie yesterday morning including black pudding. Yum. Then drove home for what felt like hours and hours...it's only 230 miles but it felt like forever! She is somehow hanging on in, despite weighing about as much as one of my legs!

I've just had parsnip soup, made from some parsnips from one of our neighbours (who oddly was the first person besides his mum and dad to see D when he was born)...we have allotments here on the estate - when I retire I shall aim to have one. try nice they were too, I love the smell of just out of the ground parsnips.

Happy marathoning Melds and Limper. Go get 'em! Raaaaaaaaaaaa!
