Wow what a brilliant day . The atmosphere was absolutely amazing - much busier and bigger than when I did it two years ago . 2.20 happy with my time and really enjoyed it

Excited but nervous. Two years since I have done it. Stupid question but does it matter which way up the chip is on your trainer ?

Hi there is a thread under events for gnr 2014 you may have better luck there. I was injured last year in the week leading up to gnr and managed to pass my place on to someone who could run using the gnr thread .Good luck.

Are you much fitter that your partner?

Yes with much frustration . I love exercise especially running but can't get him off the couch have been trying for years but he's not interested or motivated although needs to lose weight ....

What's your worst sports related injury?

Out running alongside my daughter on her bike which she had just learned to ride but was still a bit wobbly. She wobbled I tried to stop her tripped over the pedal and fell flat on my face on the pavement resulting in losing bottom half of one of my front teeth - it really hurt banging my face of the pavement. Good news was though my daughter stayed upright!

Hi just received e mail regarding sunderland 10k and half marathon. I normally do the 10k but fancy a go at the half marathon. Has anyone done both - which would you suggest? I know the Marathon this yr had a bit of a bad press and they are not doing it in 2014. Is the half marathon basically twice round the 10k route or is it all new scenery? Just afraid that having done great north run may find sunderland half hard going as doesn't attract same crowds etc although love running past the marina, beach etc. Any suggestions welcome thanks

Hi again as per my previous post due to injury I cannot run on Sunday -  I had a buyer for my place but they have pulled out. Its short notice but would anyone be interested in it . You would have to pick it up as too late to post I live in the Sunderland area.

Thanks
