Chichester Priory 10k Race

Could do better. Decent route, but for a race that seems to attract more elite runners than average, the organisation was not great.

No starter gun heard for most of runners. I didn't realise my race had started despite passing one mat given. Started running 200m later when I realised there was no other possible starting point.

No goody bag, medal or t-shirt.... just a cheap mug. Not great, especially for a race which was proudly presenting its 25th anniversary.

I know not all people care too much about medal but especially as many other local runs do, you get the feeling of 'thanks for the money. Bye....

Which racing shoes?

The pink ones.....

Aren't Nike ones in general though more about trying to make you look pretty rather than doing yourself any good?

A pair of slippers would probably be more comfortable, but no good for running unfortunately....

"A large study of multiple diets recently literally came to the conclusion nearly all diets work if you stick to them long term"

That is like saying that the majority of people would stop smoking if they stuck to it.

ALL people who stuck to a low calorie diet would naturally lose weight... but people dont.

Diets are cr@p. They are for people who are in denial who are under the impression that they are a special case while needing to go on a special low food binge in order to lose weight (and then are not programmed to eat normally when they come off).

They are designed by the conartists who want to make money out of this myth. That is why you have never heard of the 'Slightly lower portions' diet, because that doesnt sound revolutionary enough, even though that is all what is required for most people to lose weight.
