Seems hard to believe 17C in London - it may have reached 10C here BUT with a wind chill that probably took the temperature felt to below zero. Not much better tomorrow - will leave middling run to Monday. even walking in a straight line was hard work today.
It's a great week Dibs if you ever get the chance.Socially as well - the first 2 times I went it was as as Elspeth's supporter (and ceilidh partner). The post marathon buffet and ceilidh is worth going for by itself!
Must have been water in the Tek-fuel!
Dip done. Water 6.6C. Wind chill - heaven knows but significant.
Yes emzap, signed up for complete week at Cape Wrath but I'll see how it goes ...
What: dip planned - will be brief
why: people are questioning my sanity
Last hard: Monday
last rest: wednesday
lyrics: no idea
cold wet and windy
Well done Kaz
i think I'll call it a day after my brief dip
I stayed in the (wet) indoors this evening Kaz
Weather not due to improve much before next week
Ought to get a run in a some point. Certainly no weather for kayaking
Managed several individual lengths front crawl without having to stop spluttering for breath this evening - a small step forward.
( the other 36 were heads up breast stroke)
Gobi as I said a day's walk taken at (quite a bit) faster pace
Different outlook Dibs - just think of ultra as a day's walk taken at a bit faster pace.
My first ultra was landed on me with 3 weeks notice by my wife so I didn't get time to worry (or train) for it!
