Over 60s training.

John great parkrun there

Been slowly increasing my runs a minute at a time. Today I decided on 2 miles. Walked to river and back ran 2 miles along river. Altogether 4.6 miles was warm and a bit tough but getting there

What: unknown distance after work shall get off at a different bus stop and run home
Why: Its Saturday and my normal bus don't run when I finish work

Sorry about your friend. Seems to be a lot of deaths lately. On Monday the dad of a close friend died. I was regarded by him and his wife as their third daughter

Howdy Friends


The wanderer returns, had trouble finding this thread isn't in the list of threads under training. But have found you


Can't remember what I said last time I was here but hours changed at work just do 2 all nights and 3  afternoon shifts (long story)

Though may have to revert to nights temporarily as re  near ahem Christmas


Anyhow its enabled me to start this running lark again  but overweight and slow and like a  beginner again

This is week 4 and as of Monday was up to 17 minutes running

No real ambitions atm  but working to 5k/parkrun

New shift pattern going OK. Though nearer the big day may have to revert to nights temporarily

That said it has helped getting back running.

Done 3 weeks taking it gradually building slowly as am so unfit and fat. Doing my own plan

Was back at work last night feel like I've run 20 marathons so no run  today shall resume tomorrow.
