Hi BK,
Can't seem to work out how to do the picture thing & finding it a bit frustrating & time consuming.
Re Burnham; Don't think so. I'm due on the IOW that evening so I think I'll go early & do the 1/2 there, change of scenery & all that. Not too sure though.

Shaftsbury, Gold Hill run?, the one from the Hovis add.
It was was a small scale event. I've got a great aunt of 99 who lives there, so my brother & I thought we'd combine a visit with a quiet chilled out run through the Dorset countryside. I got that wrong!
It all started well untill the begining when we went up gold hill & it seemed to be uphill all the way from there. Can't complain though as I finnished second & they let my have the m 40 trophey as it was 3 days before my birthday!
Do you know the event? Is it on again this year?

No thanks Hilly, did an undulating, just under 10k through the Dorset countryside last October and it near killed me. Very scenic though, except going past the prison!
Enjoy it, PM

No, you were lied to by the marshal. Normaly race organisers stick to what they've told you when they send you your number, and if they do change anything they write and tell you. Races are often local events run by charities or by running clubs themselves. They both want you back next year so they do their best to make the envent as proffesional as possible and usualy get it right. The jubilee event was organised obviously by incopetent amatuers who don't see us as compettitors but as £30.00s. If any other race had run out of water you would probably been told "sorry we're out of water but we're trying to sort it out."
I, believe it or not enjoyed this mornings event but feel it could have been better.
Good luck with your running Gnasher, maybe have a look in the racing ahead window and pick a local event.
All the best PM
