I'm a postman on a Saturday morning, sometimes walking up to 8 miles over a 4 hour period. After work, my legs are tired and I do not feel like going for a run.
Im currently training for the Marathon of the North and the Edinburgh Marathon (Sub 3:15), around 40 mpw but will rise to 55 mpw.
Looking for advice on how to encorporate my post shift into training.
a) Count the post run a my rest day and run the other 6 days?
b) Still have a rest day on Friday and go a run a after work?
c) Could my post run be counted as some form of training that could be substituted for a training day?
d) None of the above.
I don't want to tire my legs out so much that I hamper my training.
Any advice would be great.
