My fourth one and despite tripping coming down the steps I quite liked the diversion. Looking forward to next year

Looking at running this next year. anyone know how family get from the start to finish area is there a bus.( wife not prepared to walk route! Very selfish) I'm also thinking if flying direct to Johannesburg and getting a connecting flight as you can get direct flights. I would be grateful if anyone has any views and ideas.

I've ran it twice and yes there is a fair bit of downhill especially in the first half. However.the second half ( newby bridge section) is a lot harder and the up and down nature of the course takes it tolls on your legs. I have run  3.56 here which is typically 15 mins slower  than my normal marathons. easily doable to run two marathons close together. I've got stratty, week later worcester and then windermere you just have to rest in between and pace yourself well
