ITBS and PFPS

Hi tom I experienced pfps in 2013 after 26 marathons. I went from running a marathon in 3.45 to four days later I could hardly walk up an incline. The crepitus in my knee was awful and going to work was agony. However,I religiously followed my physio exercises as well some I found on the big knee pain website. I thought I would never recover and in the end I was out for 12 weeks.Injured knees are a pain and you have to show a lot of patience they can take ages to heal.My heart dropped as I had to cancel race after race. you can recover focus on the exercises do weights keep your brain occupie. trust your physio I googled every piece of research it doesn't help put your faith in your physio.  Best of luck

Looking at running this next year. anyone know how family get from the start to finish area is there a bus.( wife not prepared to walk route! Very selfish) I'm also thinking if flying direct to Johannesburg and getting a connecting flight as you can get direct flights. I would be grateful if anyone has any views and ideas.
