What a truely awful day for both competing and supporting yesterday was. Huge respect to all competitors for finishing, im sure there were a couple contemplating pulling out/not starting. We got chilled and soaked marshalling so must have been a lot worse out on the bike for all you guys.

Well done to M&M, Seren and Citizen for finishing! You all looked great out there. Look forward to a race report or 2

Have just volunteered to help out, have asked for bike course rather than run. Mrs D where are you camping? Have 113 arranged it or have you sorted it yourself?

Good luck citizen, what will you be wearing/number so we can give you a big pirate cheer!!!!

Training for a shorter Tri

Steady - what's your longest ride so far? When I did my first century the longest ride I had done prior was 66 miles. I found it was a lot of mental and about making sure you are comfy and eat enough on the ride. It wasn't hard, per se, but it wasn't exactly an easy ride. I'm sure you'll be fine

Does anyone know a rough idea of how much climbing on the bike/biggest hill etc? Or even a garmin profile/map file thing (technical term) of the course? On my phone at work so apologises if it's easy to find.

so you'll be racing it again, yes Cheggers?

Got to keep the kids happy!

Ben was a great help and really enthusiastic, as was little Mushroom. She kept running all over the place grabbing bottles and gels. Every time a shout for a bottle went out she was there already, a real credit to their parents

+1 and great idea to have it as fancy dress next year too.

Just because you want an excuse to wear your blonde wig and swimming costume in public!

It was a great day and so nice to see lots of people thanking and being really appreciative of everything people did for them. Only downside was that caravan and TRACTOR!

Just got home, sorry we couldn't stay longer but both of us have work in the morning. Well what can I say, what a fantastic weekend! Met some great people and had many a laugh. The feed station was great fun and the best bit was nothing was taken too seriously and considering we had never met anyone we were made to feel very welcome.

We will be back!

I can also grab a box of small, medium and large gloves from work for applying sun cream if needed?

Regarding your last email Mouse about t shirts, are we to, possibly, sort pirate t shirts or are we provided with outlaw ones? If pirate then I will try and sort this afternoon but didn't want to start in case we were wearing something else
