Training for a shorter Tri

Posted: Yesterday at 19:15

Bloody hell where has the time gone! So been a little absent lately but so far this year I have got married, with associated hen and stag outings, been on a month long honeymoon to USA, found out we are expecting and had a new wife with extremely bad morning sickness for 4 months and got a new job involving a lot of meetings. So a little excuse for being busy.

However, things have now settled and I'm back into some form of regular exercise, even if it's just catching up on everything everyone has been doing!

So how is everyone?

Well done Buttercup, sounds like a fun event and great report

Maths, I wouldn't worry too much. The hardest part is making a decision to DNS and if you don't feel ready you may just end up putting yourself back Further. Come back stronger for next time!

Pirate Champs 2016

Has anyone taken small kids along on a pirate sailing? It's my 30th next year but by September I will have a 1 year old in tow and would just like the reassurance this isn't a crazy idea.

If Mallorca we could make it a nice 2 week holiday for a combined 30th and 1st birthday which has a lot of appeal.

Alex - where abouts are on you? There are a few people on the 'dodgy' side of the Severn!

Are the tri shop really busy for wetsuits trials? Do you have to book really far ahead? I'm guessing the weekend is the worst

Please add Me and Allsortss to the list, was a brilliant weekend last year so can't wait to come back and help. Will be taking Monday off so we can stay till the end this year.

Everyone should come and volunteer, it's a great laugh and Tea pot keeps you well fed with bacon sarnies!

I thought you'd bring the van over.  Park up somewhere.  Sorted.

Plenty of lanes down Seren's way

Rocco, would you be able to drop me and my other half back at the hotel junction 34? On m4

Shouldn't be a problem, 24 or 34?

I'm probably going to be driving so will have a few spare seats heading back newport/Cwmbran way so could be persuaded to take a slight detour if people need a lift in that area.

Happy with Newport or Cardiff and an activity during the day would be fun. Just phoned the Velodrome but they have no weekends available until March!
