This thread is not intended to bore the socks off anyone, merely keep you informed of events in the North West and always there to offer constructive advice from experts.
Events are filling up quickly these days so enter early FCR do not charge for online entries, 92% entered this way with our events.
in conjunction with our partners & sponsors we are able to offer many additional features to the events, greater prize poole, better facilities and support.
New for 2014 we have secured a sponsorship package with a top North West Photographic Studio and will be offering 10 spot prizes at all events, worth over £240 for the winner, with partner, family or even pooch to go along and have a session on fusion photography art, a great prize. Originally we were going to give these as team individual & team prizes but it seems club runners would rather have the odd bottle of wine or sports vouches average value £25, it's there loss. The unattached running club is the largest in the UK so it seems only right top start giving them some credit in the way of prizes. On a personal note, after 52 years in sport competing at every level (missing out on the big one, an Olympic place, by less than a second, I can honestly say athletics in particular road running ha been and always will be my life, although golf takes up quite a bit of my time in retirement these days. Club athletics, Track & Field for those that so want continues to thrive but sadly club athletics in general has not, I am unattached now and would not like to get involved in the politics, you must do this attitude to racing that surround the sport these days, stay free do your own thing is my advice. You can seek advice on training, diet, build ups through the Runners World pages.
We at FCR welcome any constructive critisism or advice that will help to improve our events even more. Check us out on facebook & dont forget to twitter us to keep in touch
A Big thank you to all
