Thanks. TR. Don't expect to get a full return but would be a shame to lose it all. What's Tri Talk? (Newbie question...)

I've got an entry for the Swashbuckler Half/Middle Tri on 10th May 2015.  I now can't make the event and will probably enter the Beaver instead. I cannot get a refund on the £120 entry fee but I can transfer my entry to someone else (as described below)

Q. Can I give/sell my race entry to my friend?
A. Yes. Up until 1 week (7 days) before the race you can substitute your race entry online. Just use the "already registered" option from the "Register Now" link. You will need your User ID – normally your email address and your Password to update your details. You’ll get a confirmation email of all changes made.

If anyone is looking to enter this and fancies helping me out I can swap the details on the entry and then you could transfer some money via Paypal?

Finding a 70.3 tri for 2015

As a newbie to tri and an ironman uk entrant for next year I'm looking for some events  leading up to July to get some race experience and a half a few months before. Websites seem to have limited info. Is this as its the end of the season? When and where can I find events? I'm based in the NW so any suggestions welcome.

How to ride a bike?

Thanks everyone. I'll def look into schemes to get me started and there are a few people at my running club that would cycle with me. My lack of confidence is kind of why I chose to challenge myself. May dig out my old mb...but I did hate it!

Aw shucks I knew someone would say that! I was hoping someone would recommend    some great gadgets, turbos, bike computers and the like that would magically make me fabulous!

I've done lots of endurance running and am a confident ows. Now I've entered IM Uk 2015. Trouble is I'm terrible on a bike. I've neither speed or confidence. Haven't ridden  in a few years. I've bought a cheap road bike to get me started. Can anyone please give me some advice on where to start? I'm really afraid I'll time out on the bike.

No charge for me or husband...perhaps as he'd never seen one he didn't realise he could have made himself some easy money!

Medical certificate signed today. The Dr, a runner himself, said he'd never had to sign one of those for any marathon before. Now feel very adventurous!
