Shades Marathon Training

Could be Shades, but the first 2 miles I feel fine then a sudden zonk for half a mile to a mile Then feel fine again

do you think that 6 jelly babies would recover me enough to run 6 miles at a realisable pace.       and even if it would I would expect to feel tired from the start, it is the sudden loss of energy that confuses me.

have a great Time Big G love rome, good advice on booking for the Colosseum, never went in as the queues were far to big.  Loved the Vatican, well all of it really, 

good 9 mile last night, just had that awful time again between 2 and 3 miles when felt totally devoid of any energy luckily I had taken a few jelly babies so had them and recovered last 6 mile was 2 miles at 8.50 2miles at 8.25 and the last 2 at 7.45  

do not get it very often, but it is very strange when it happens

Just got back, SK yes under canvas but not to bad this year was pretty cold but no ice on the tents  

Was very windy last night so had little or no sleep with the noise and evey big gust I expected someone to get me up to tell me the tent had blown away but thankfully not,

nice bath, tea and beer now

No running for me this weekend as Just about to set of to freezer camp with 80 Scouts.  Should be fun

SK yes contact GNR they should move you and like you say if for any reason you want to move back you can

my next race is the Yorkshire half formally the Sheffield half on the 12 April.  It is going to be very hard and very slow.  My traing pace is back at 9-9.30 min miles lost so much fitness, but serves me right for being lazy

wow sounds interesting, hope it works out for you

I have done very little since Chester mara last October, gave myself a few weeks off and life got in the way of my running,  just done the odd 3-5 mille run to keep the legs turning over.   Been getting out 3 time a week for the last couple of weeks and will be back to 4/5 in the next week to so.  training pace is up at 9-9.30 mim miles from 8min miles so lost so much fitness but hopping it will come back quick.

Fantastic time SK, well done, glad to see you are in the GNR it is a great race and the finish along the sea is brilliant         I am sure you will enjoy it and with that time should be in pen A so a chance of a good time there as well.
