Plyo went well - better than expected Chrissi. Still have trouble with Level 1 drills, ski abs, in out abs though!!

No access to stairs either Tim! I'm not sure if it's better to do hill sprints or to just run on an incline on the treadmill and try to increase the distance I can do on a steep incline very time. the mountain is fairly gradual with a steep incline for about 3km at abou the 35km point of the race. Any advice appreciated! My plan is to train for the marathon in Dubai but treat that as a long training run not a race in preparation for the 50 km two weeks later.

Back on here again after several failed attempts to finish Insanity. I've been doing some T-25 which is good but don't feel the same effects as from Insanity. I've got a marathon to run in 10 weeks and feel really unfit. After 4 months of no exercise due to health problems I can really feel the difference in my fitness levels on long runs - I manage the distance but struggle and go very very slowly! I'm going to start Insanity again because I remember it helping with my fitness and running last time (even though I didn't finish it) I don't know if I'll be able to do all 6 workouts every week because the running has to take priority but I'll give it a go. So - fit test today!!

I'm planning on doing the Dubai marathon at the end of January and a 50km race in Dibba, Oman two weeks after that. It will only be my second marathon and first over that distance. The 50k is up a mountain and I live in Abu Dhabi which is incredibly flat so any advice on hill training on a treadmill would be appreciated. Thanks

Recovery week for me. I skipped 3 workputs over the first month so will do those and then 3 days recovery workouts. Quite looking forward to the Max workouts, feel like I can more or less do the other ones now. Might be saying otherwise when I start next week!

Managed a full set of the basketball, level 1 drills, ski abs and in out abs today without taking a break - first time I've managed to keep up! It was only one set though and had to take breaks for the other two!

Insane Rob, I've set my alarm the last two days at 5am to get up and do Insanity but both days I've ended up pressing snooze and doing it after work. I'd much prefer to do the morning and get it done. My main problem is getting motivated after work. Very sad but I'm now actually following shaun T on Twitter - find his daily tweets of "Dig Deeper' and 'Jump higher today than yesterday' get me motivated!

By the way, I have to agree with you about Tanya - I'm not sure she's human!

well done Mr A! Katie, I find the same - no weight loss but I can see and feel a difference in tone. Hopefully if we keep going, that will change.

i'm not doing the diet, just trying to eat healthily. Had lots of setbacks recently healthwise and had to stop, start again and stop again. Going to go for it this time and try to do the whole thing properly.

Dave79, you should go for the marathon and like Mr A says, it really helps, I had doen half of Insanity when i ran a half marathon and knocked 17 minutes off my previous time.

Well done Mr A! Glad to hear you got good results. I'm still going after stopping and starting so much over the last couple of months. Determined to get through the whole thing this time! Is everybody doing the diet as well or only the exercise?
