That's twice in a week I've seen the world "grizzly" used to describe something gruesome in so-called esteemed publications.

Its "grisly" FFS

it wasn't a gruesome bear perchance?

or someones Movember pics?

So although Evans can do the 'playing football' part of the job, it seems the parts of the job that he can't do as well now are:

1) being a role model, and
2) being a player that (some) fans of the club want to support.

Why not?

He could prove to be a great role model.

Someone battling back after adversity and showing a perfect clean living example for kids everywhere.

Yes back into society but not walking into the same job, there is a difference, there is a world of difference between going into the same job, and having to apply and prove yourself along with every other prospective client for a new employer.

he was having to do that.

so what job would you suggest a convicted rapist can do?

everyone seems keen to say what he cannot do.

But as things stand currently he is a convicted rapist. Therefore he must surely realise he has to wait for the appeal? He can't have it both ways.

Even if he loses the appeal he has already served his time. When is he allowed to get on with his life?

The problem is that the guy is still insisting he's innocent when the law says he's guilty.

That's what you have to do when you are going to appeal.

... and bugger off to somewhere obscure in the lower divisions for a while.

I thought that's what he wanted to do?

Anyway, why is it ok for him to play football somewhere else but not at Sheff Utd?
