Debra - I was wondering whether you'd entered or not. Well done and hope the foot holds up.

Marty - thanks. It all seems a bit close to call at the moment. Probably doing a bit more than planned at the moment but I know that any schedules are likely to go awry with Christmas around the corner..

Helloooo - Where is everyone? Christmas shopping

Seren - I know where you're coming from with food as I always prefer to cater for myself during races and am also on the low carb wagon. Though not been very good since Abingdon. But its a long race and if you're going to carry everything you might need a shopping trolley!! You don't of course need to be low carb on the day itself as your fat stores will be tuned into. Would you not be better off just eating whatever you fancy when you get to the aid stations?

I am seriously beginning to wonder how on earth I'm going to get to the end of the race. Have started to do 2 longer runs back to back. I was absolutely worn out by the time I came back today and it was only a very slow 14 miles. I had to walk some of it which I never do but did practise "fast" walking.

Lowrez - thanks for that. Good luck with the hamstring. Maybe running again won't further hurt it.

Bike it - hope you sort the hip pain out

maybe it's the salt in the seawater that helps Muzingi with his running. Don't think I'll try it though.

trying to work up the enthusiasm for a run. It's about to absolutely chuck it down

Debra - sorry to hear about your foot. Have you had it scanned or xrayed? I have a friend with pre osteoporosis. Has to take a tablet once a week standing up. Difficult to know what to do. Good luck

terry - I'm not that worried about sub 11. Just sub 12 but the pacing is a challeng. It's never going to be an even split...

And maybe I just need to run more.

Dannir - I won't stop. Promise

RR - glad the Achilles feeling ok

Becca - well done on the Beirut marathon. Don't think I'd go there

Marty - can't give you any advise on timing whatsoever but it's a good question.

With a marathon tine of 4h22 the training guides suggest I could go under 11 hours which is good because it means I have an hour to play with and despite their suggestions I think I'll need the whole extra hour. 12 hours is 12m50s miling so how would you approach that.

Seren - well done on your run.

how much are people running a week at the moment. Don't think I'm doing enough
