Iain - good luck with it. Looking forward to finding out what you end up doing.

NickyBear - Welcome. Sounds like you've been doing well but you've not been doing it that long so maybe you're body isn't fully adapted yet. I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable than me will be along soon to explain better than I can about adaptation periods and fast stuff. It's a continual learning curve. And you mustn't forget the salt

Mmmm. Bit more than I thought

Perhaps I'll just stay where I am if it doesn't matter that much

Marty 74  - Thanks for that, though glad they don't matter as much because I didn't think I was anywhere near a different pen but now I see that if I get my skates on and get a pb I might go up one

I recall that you didn't need to raise toooo much money for the charity pen but can't find that either

EF and Duda - good luck at Wales this weekend. What do you eat for breakfast before a race?

i do most of my runs fasted. Certainly up to 15 miles. But longer I have eaten bacon and eggs - so no carbs. Yesterday ran 20 miles with breakfast and nothing on the run (mainly because I had nothing in the house!)  but I have tried jelly babies. Am trying to work out what to use on my marathon.

im still having salt water before each run too

Iain - it's an ultra you're doing isn't it?  What do you plan on eating during the race?

Suckitup - good luck this weekend

WarrenK78 - well done on your qualifier

I can't find anywhere on the website that tells you which pen you go in based on your marathon times. Sure it was there last year

Well I did a 20 mile run yesterday. It rained the entire time. I reckon it was good mental training for comrades

Pudge - put some baking paper or something between each oopsie, easier to separate them individually, then to defrost you could just put them on top of your toaster and turn it on without putting them inside. Works well also for egg on "toast"
