ASICS Super Six: Alison (Sub-3:30)

I agree with Rich wholeheartedly about the guidance needed from RW about hosting a thread. Not just for the runners but the coaches/advisors as well. All future SSXers need to be aware of the nature of the boards at times and be able to cope with it.

It certainly is a steep learning curve about everything you are as a person and a runner.

ASICS Super Six: Bridget (Sub-4:15)

Bridget is tough enough to cope with the DNF definitely. 'Failure' (though it wasn't) so publicly is a bitter pill to swallow. She's in great shape and it'd be a shame to waste the training.

D2D's remark may well come back to bite her on the arse one day. I believe that's called karma....

And please, don't send her to Fetch. It's a nice place with pleasant people. I don't think she'd fit in.

Good luck with the pod, Bridget.

I think the experience of last year has affected the feelings towards the Super Six nominees negatively.

Last year was the first XFactor style vote because previously the forumites complained that RW Towers made the decisions choosing the Super Six. Playing devil's advocate here, I think RW Towers feels as though they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Mustkeepingtrying - you seem like a decent sort of fella but please do not under estimate the feelings of the forumites. This place is a part of their lives. Of course they guard it. Be careful what you type.

I dunno Hash,

I remember many a time of distraughtness and scardiness (sorry - that's a Baby Spinkle word I've now taken into my lexicology) last year!!

I wasn't a newbie when I entered the Super 6 competition but neither did I feel  that newbies were shortlisted. The invasion of of non Super 6 threads to get post counts up and the names about was dodgy. Ultimately I think these people sealed their own fates.

Thanks for your comments ogee .

I know its a big ask to shift down to sub 5hr but i think that this is the real point of the competition and opportunity- if someone is given all the proper professional support and equipment then how much of a difference can this make?

Well, I am no position to comment on that  I managed a PW with all the professional support and equipment..

Screampillar -

Erm -  part of the 'deal' with the SuperSix is that you can host a thread, delivering news on training, passing on tips and product stuff (i.e it's a marketing thing). Mustkeepgoing is marketing himself here. As he is supposed to. It's. Part. Of. The. Game.

Complaining that Mustkeepgoing is here doing this is like complaining the wannabees on X Factor keep asking for your phone vote.

RW's job is to increase website traffic. It clearly works.

Hello Mustkeeptrying!

I wish you all the luck in the world. I have to say from my experience last year that this week is the worst bit. I'm sure you will develop a thicker skin by the end!
