Pipram, I've just signed up for the very same tri as my first one. All I've bought is a 2XU tri suit which fits me fine. I have a Specialized Sirrus hybrid which I've had for years that I'm going to use. I may also invest in some new runners that will hopefully last me a while

Any suggestions as to what sort of fuel to buy for a sprint tri, and where to store it for ease of use. I have a belt and half a dozen SIS gels, but as it's my first triathlon i have no experience to tell if this is enough or not

Does anyone have any recommendations as to a good beginners plan to follow? Most of the ones I have seen start at more swimming than I can currently do. I used to be a good swimmer but this was 30 years ago. I can get it back though. Any links would be appreciated

RicF, I have to be honest and say I don't know. The running shop I had my gait looked at in advised me to get my New Balance shoes. What type of issue I had never registered ????

I currently run in New Balance 940's but I'm intrigued by barefoot shoes. I'm in the middle of 'Born to Run' where the author is advocating barefoot shoes. Will they help my pronation issues or hinder them? I run 5k mainly, but up to marathons
