Twin Piers Half Marathon

Yep....guess we ran past the same St Annes pier it kind of counted as two piers. Nice to run around the windmill instead and against the wind most of the way. Reckon it must have been an accurate measure as the turnaround point was a marshall with 3 traffic cones around his car. Very well organised.....thank you folks

Bath Half Marathon

Hi Folks. Have got to say, that was one well organised race. From the easy car parking (in the city centre), the fantastic village with pre-race massage, the build up stood at the start line, the great supporters all the way around, the 2 circuits (so you know what to expect second time around) the big finish and the speed they got us all through at the end were all best practices that some other races should follow. The journey out of Bath and back to Southport was easy too. The only small niggle would be around the quality of the medal. Maybe they could have a look at the Birmingham half marathon that feels like a medal. Well done to everyone involved

Hi Folks. Did anyone else do the Las Vegas Marathon on the 5th December. It was mad....95 couples got married at the 2 mile point (outside the Venetian Hotel) on a platform made for the event, with a crowd of Elvi runners watching...they all then finished the race. There was also a rock concert at the finish...mad....but great fun

Brian....think you know that most of us appreciate what you do to give us the opportunity to run in these races. Having moved from the Midlands to the North...can tell you....that you and the other folks do a great job....near perfect is good enough! I find putting your energy into the positive people is the most rewarding....let the moaners keep on moaning. It is what they are good at

Think it was more about running down to the police headquarters roundabout on the first lap (around 200 feet), which some of us cannot remember doing last year. Still...old age is a sod for remembering this type of stuff
