Brooks Adrenaline - dramatic changes?

I've run in GTS 12s and I use the pure cadence 2 for races. I'm currently weighing up running my next marathon in the cadence. No problems after a half, I'm carrying 13 stone plus round as well and felt I needed the extra support in the GTS but I'm beginning to think otherwise.  I love the Cadence 2. Another endorsement for you.

This damn weather!!

it snowed in March last year... get ready for that!

Just make sure you get out when its awful... not when its really awful!!!

Pure Flow 3

Pure cadence 2 are a winner for me.  I have a noticeable bunion on my right foot so was wondering how the split toe box 'thing' would impact and it hasn't. They are so comfortable and I'm lumping 13 stone plus round over half marathons.

Cheers Ben. Hence my question about mileage. I bought some on eBay recently described as nearly new and that's how they felt after id bought. Trusted the answer I got re mileage. 35 quid. Bargain (in my opinion). Of course that won't happen all the time. Buyer beware.

Yep. Gatorade drink looks to alternate (ish) with the water.

what gels you using Lou D? Any strategy to when you'll take OR not tried before and gonna see what happens?

Marathon training- gels and sports drinks

I think Im correct in saying its sponsored by Gatorade and I think the fuel stops will be water and Gatorade alternating but that could be a drink and not a gel.

As above, you could try your own or get those that may be on offer.  I use SIS in any case and have got used to wearing a belt and carrying a bottle as the water and gel stops on race day can be carnage.

Certainly get used to them in training. Learning to tear them and eat on the move is an art ! I read a while ago, every half hour ish. Take a spare one every run.

Training for sub 1.30 half marathon

I've followed this from afar. We'll done, keep it going.

You've done park run in sub 20 so I would suggest you're more than capable of starting at 4 miles and aiming for 6.52 average. Tag on an extra mile up to 7 say every 3rd week. That plus everything else you're doing should make a big difference.

You can certainly do the 4, 5 or 6 x 1 mile repeats, or 3 x 2 etc etc, I just personally find the continuous run harder but more rewarding.

Id warm up and down with at least a mile either side and certainly a few 100 m stride outs to get the body ready to work hard.

Keep the updates going.
