After a terrible year last year things are going well this year and completed my first half marathon a few weeks ago (very slowly but at the slow pace I was going could easily have done another five or six miles).
I am doing Bala Middle Distance in June (only 12 weeks to go) and will be doing part of the Long Course Weekend in July (definitely bike but also tempted by swim) and then very tempted by Ocean Lava Middle Distance in Fishguard in August. After all of this I will be ready to sign up for Ironman Wales 2016 when the places go on sale in September.
i am following Fink half ironman plan and all going well at the moment.
I live in South West Wales so most of my training is hilly but that can only be a good thing?
I like heart rate training and very motivated by the numbers and seeing the numbers improve so ideally would suit a mentor who can not only shout at me and encourage but also can suggest improvements from looking at my data. (ANS I would fully expect the question "are you really that slow?"
Anyone fancy a challenge to help me get to Ironman Wales 2016?
