Okra is one thing I haven't tried...it always looks a bit slimy and smells funny :-/

Apologies for the radio silence...all is well with the chipolata, but we've had some bad news about a friend, so this little Sossidge probably won't be posting for a wee while. I'll leave some squeezy hugs, a big jar of Marmite (and a spoon) and a selection of local cheeses behind for now

Amcheesia I had a very cheesy quiche with a side order of cheese...can't ignore the advice of the medical profession

Lots of bumblies round here too, CJ. they're the size of Zeppelins!

I've just realised I haven't eaten cheese for ages. In fact, I can't remember the last time I ate cheese :-O

This shall be remedied.

Vest, not best. Bloody autocorrect. You don't want to know what it changes 'cycling' to. Let's just say I clearly swear far too much :-/

Madbee, that sounds hardcore!!

GFB, how's the foot today? Hope it's arnica-ed up and not too sore

Caz I think that's a lovely thing to do. Likewise, I fjnd knitting therapeutic (unless it's a really complex pattern, then I end up swearing at it quite viciously). I'm improvising a cow print baby best at the moment, it's making me laugh as I knit

...so long as it's not exes with axes I think we should all be fine

Caz, I didn't know you're an embroidererer. I have a cross stitch in the cupboard which I started for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary....6 years on it's still there. Minus most of the embroidery threads, which I've found very useful for sewing on buttons and hemming garments of awkward colours :-/ I have a bag of threads in various colours a friend gave me which I'll never use, I can post them to you if you're interested.

Happy weekends everyone

Hope you have a better journey into work this morning, Cake. Maybe we all need to start the day with a little carrot yogurt :-/

Mr. P, the mammoths thingy opens in late May, if you fancied OD-ing on all things prehistoric! I'd offer to meet you for coffee and cake were it not a weekend - oh, and I might be a bit 'busy' at the end of May!

Pants, small - that's like leaving the de-icer in the car...

Bookie, thank you very much indeed honey, that's so kind of you. I may well take you up on it! It was my gestational diabetes test this morning...I can think of better things to drink in an empty tummy than almost 500ml of lucozade. Bleurgh!!

Mr. P, you did indeed tell me about the Scott exhibition...I think we also had a conversation about 'The Worst Journey'! Cherry-Garrard's life story was tinged with sadness and it was such a privilege to handle so many precious artefacts that touched so much of history. This year, we've got one on mammoths and one on ancient Britain - the latter has already opened and is doing really well
