KIT UPDATE

Posted: 02/11/2004 at 22:41
Hi Everyone.

Good news! Box 2 has arrived from Foxy so myself and SB can now see more clearly what is going on. Some of you will see from the order system that your kit has been dispatched. If so, expect it in the next day or two.

We still have one or two anomalies that we are trying to get to the bottom off, but we are working on it and should have everything straight soon.

We have a few orders that have been submitted, but not yet paid for and are currently in the process of chasing these up. We anticipate that this will take a couple of weeks, after which everything remaining will be advertised on the website (www.urwfrc.org) and on this forum on a first come, first served basis.

Hope this helps to explain things. Thanks again for your patience while we sort out the problems. We will get there in the end.

Thank you Jon! Good job someone is paying attention!

I'm still waiting for the remaining box of tricks to arrive from Foxy. When I do, we should be able to tie up any loose ends. Hopefully your long lost cheques are HSBC ones and not from the old Midland Bank!

Hi Brooks mate, how are you?

Forgot that the Luton relay was coming around again. I haven't been running a lot recently due to new 'family' committments, but am just getting back into it again. If I can muster up enough fitness, I'll probably be up for it, although at the moment you really wouldn't want me!

'Joby', you can thank Swiss Bobby and The Dog Walker thank you very much!!!!

Meant to get on here earlier, but Broadband has been down all day.

I have dispatched kit to most of you who had outstanding orders. It should have arrived today, but some might come tomorrow. Some of you who have ordered multiple items might only have part of their order. This is because I'm waiting for Foxy to send me the remaining kit. If you haven't received what you are expecting this is for the same reason.

If you have any queries, please can you email Swiss Bobby? He is away this week, but will field the queries on his return so hopefully we can clear up this whole sorry mess.

Please continue to be patient and we will get it all sorted asap.

Cheers,

DW

Many congrats to you both!!!

Make the most of the time when she is small. Jessica is only two and a half months old, but changes by the day!

Caz, look after yourself as well after the C-section and get plenty of pampering (I'm sure you will...!!!)

There is a little bit of confusion here.

The Wendover Woods Hill Race is organised by the Thames Valley Orienteering Club (TVOC). This year it is on 19th December. This race is up some very steep hills and is harder than the Wendover Multi-Terrain 5. Their website is www.tvoc.org.uk, but you won't find much useful information there. It's best to email them if you want any more information or an application form.

The Wendover Multi Terrain 5, which is on 16th January 2005, is run on part of the course of the Wendover Woods Hill Race and although it is also challenging, the hills aren't as steep and the terrain tends to be mostly on marked, but muddy tracks.

Guys,

Just a quick visit (between hospital visits!) to say many thanks for all your good wishes which are very much appreciated.

I have printed the thread out to go with all the cards, etc. so that Jessica can read them in years to come. By that time the average thread length will probably be about 300,000 posts and the country will be completely governed by these forums!!!

Many thanks again.

A very tired but happy DW!!!

P.S. Gavo, I'm hoping with a little bit of training this Saturday morning, she might be okay to serve on her own by lunchtime!
