North Lincolnshire Half Marathon

I`ve done it twice (PB!) and OH did it this year. Very well organised but at 1700 runners, I`d hardly call it small! Only gripe I have is that you cannot transfer places after a deadline which was about 5 weeks before the race which is harsh for a race that sells out.

The Sheff half is a great event now. Done it both years and raised lots of cash for worthy causes. I did 50 miles that week and been injured since. Just getting back to it now. Supposed to be doing North Lincs HM this weekend but might have to sub my OH in....

Yeah, I did it in 2014 too. First 2.8 miles are uphill on the Leek road then drop off left into some lovely rolling countryside. Another long climb late on 9 - 10 miles - ? Plus there a few little ups towards the end to give it a sting in the tail.

A must-do I`d say and really good to compare it to Eyam; which is tougher? I`ve done both but I`m still not sure...

Ooh, and I`ve done Sheff HM many times and this one is quite a lot tougher imo.

It was great , wasn`t it? Glad I agreed to run with my wife and we raised a decent amount of money for charity and was choked a few times by the amazing support.

Good time. Amazing support and now this is the great event that the city deserved.

Me and my OH finally entered on Friday, after pay day!  We 're looking forward to it but  shall ignore any requests by her for me to piggy back her up to the Norfolk Arms!

Good work. Sounds like sensible plan.

It`s pacing and practice, I guess. It`s not THAT steep tbh and the gradient varies quite a bit. You`ll be fine.

Yeah. Cathedral will be fine.

Yeah, it's about effort rather than pace isn't it?
