Cheers for the info Jack. Very helpful.

Well, I`ve finally entered! Did my 4th 20 miler yesterday (well, 2 x 20, 1 x 21 & an off-road hilly 18).. Was very tough as it was really warm and humid in Sheffield. Planning another 20 or an off-road hilly 21 in a fortnight then taper time.

I'm going ok. Got a 20 and a 21 done and an off road 18 scheduled for this weekend. Well done everyone so far. 7 weeks to go is it?

Wearing race T Shirts...

Yup. Been sat in pub for a couple of hours wearing an Eyam Half Marathon t-shirt. I wear them quite a lot , largely because I'm too tight / CBA spending money on clothes. They don't maketh the man, as someone once said.

Sounds like you are going well Scott and Nader. Well done.

I think I could do with finding a half to nail some decent pacing over the next month or two.

Oops. I drove to work this morning with the CD on pretty loud. Is that ok? Mind you, it put me in a much better mood.

Nottm medals are good. Think you have to pay extra for t-shirt, or at least I did first time I did it.

I wonder how many musicphobes use gamins or similar. I've seen several 'dangerous' incidents with GPS lovers. Some struggle to even do training plods without being hooked up to a satellite.

Also some folk just don't really get the importance of music.

Is any of the new course open to traffic? There was a little bit of it 'dangerous' previously. To make the event completely safe, there really ought to be BMI checks at the start. And maybe shorten the distance. But obviously headphones are more of a risk.

How`s everyone`s training going?

I`m doing ok. Done a 17 and a 15 but both off-road so very slow. Need to maybe crank it up a bit soon and planning to bag a 20 soon.....
