Cheers. Yeah, I gave no thought to the time or pacing as it was all about the memory tbh. I ran hard from the start and so I was struggling by 8 miles. Saw very few distance markers. Picked up the pieces as best I could and shocked to get back in 1.45. Got £500 raised too!

Not entered yet but probably. I will do Trail Rush though which is the same course but continuous. btw, I only usually get 500 miles from my Brooks.

I did it. I thought it was pretty tough to be fair. My legs felt pretty tired after the climb so I couldn`t really take full benefit of the second half in terms of descent. Overall, despite a couple of clear faults, the crowds alone made the event worth doing. And I raised a decent amount for the BHF, my first charity run.

I'm intrigued but won't be doing it this time around, I'm afraid.

Norfolk Arms is a good stop off. I run bits of it fairly regularly. Still get a bit confused between Brincliffe Edge and Hunters Bar.

Wow! Tougher than Buxton! I did Sheff and I think I was 1.45 whereas Buxton I did in 1.48, I think.

I did the Trail Rush on the same course last year and they recommended trail shoes. I ran in my road shoes though and was fine. Unless it is especially wet, trail shoes aren`t necessary.

Just wondering if there`s anybody who has done the full or half at Hudds. How does it compare to other hilly ones like Buxton or Eyam?

Thanks for the reply Zoe. I have a colleague running this time but I shan`t be doing it myself. Hope it goes well and it is an undoubtedly great cause

Yeah, 1 km flat, 4km winding up, 4km down quick and 1km flat to finish. It was quite expensive though and there was just a water bottle for finishers. The year after, the event was cancelled (wet) and no refunds given and not re-run.
