Training for a shorter Tri

Knackered with a capital f**cked!!! Great day made better by Caz being there. Must have done at least 35m - didn't use garmin but wish I had. Fell off once so sore knee which made me quit early on the last session but other knee is also bruised but not sure how! Ass is sore as are shoulders so if knackeredness is a judgement of value for money today was great!!

Expecting a few days of soreness

it does look a lovely day out.

I've been shopping and it took ages as it was so busy

Cross training in the garden this afternoon followed by steak, feet up, wine and Man of Steel in 3D

skills course says take normal bike fodder - bet I'm the only one with percy pigs

Buttercup when you do your morning commute do you eat at work or before? I'm thinking electrolyte drink on way then a shake as a I change for work. At 90mins I'm going to be pushed for time as is!

I feel like I've been run over by a bus - yes it's the 1st day of the Easter break. Had 12 hrs in bed last night and still can't really focus and feeling tired

Bike skills course tomorrow then off to Norfolk (with running kit) for 5-6 days. So enforced school break but will have to take masters stuff as my dissertation is due in on the 29th May!

Done nowt this week as felt beyond tired - even driving home has been a worry

Am ordering a bike route map for the East Midlands as planning to bike to school on a Friday as we leave early then (3:30 instead of 5:15) but at 20 hilly miles it'll be a good 90mins each way

Some great reading on here - you are all doing awesome!

Thrilled for you MC and so know what you mean. Try to keep Moving to stop the muscles tightening. Compression Sox or calf guards will work wonders as does a large glass of wine!!

I'm not doing a mara for sure as I will need to focus on the bike.

If I do one it will be Leicester in October just before Outlaw training starts.

I've also told him I plan to get the bike and do some rides to work down the cloud trail - drive there (7mish?) then ride the 13m to work.

Would like to trial this on the last day of INSET in May as it's casual dress and an earlier finish!

Just need to get arse out of bed and start training properly again.

Next Saturday I have a bike skills coaching day at Mallory Park then a week off in Norfolk (when I should be re-marking coursework and finishing my MA!) when I will take running kit - no internet connection there mind

woo hoo well done MC!

CO2 rocks - my pump isn't tiny but I got it free with 220 back in err 2008? when I did the London Tri

Watch VLM then told hubby I wasn't entering as I WAS doing Outlaw next year - so he officially knows!
